There are different types of performance measure standard that managers can establish. Standard defines as “the level of activity established to serve as a model for evaluating organizational performance.” (Certo, 2015) In a way, the standard is an indicator whether if the organization performance aligns with company’s strategy. Using the standard provided on page 394, below are some of the definitions, how they are measured, and the follow-up steps: Profitability Standard measure the company’s return on investment. Panera Bread builds the core corporate value around the concept of “responsibilities” to the customer, stakeholders, environmental, and local communities. Additionally, on Fundraising Night, an organization needing to raise money arranges a date with Panera for a time when they bring their supporters in for dinner. The group receives 10 to 20 percent.
