Quality is an important aspect to consider for any business; get it wrong and it can have drastic consequences such as low sales and high operation costs, however get it right and a business can benefit from increased competitiveness and sales as well as long term decreased costs.

Pars Food Ltd has gained a reputation for having very good quality products without a premium price, enabling them to use quality to differentiate themselves from their competitors and to increase their competitiveness within the frozen food market. As a result Pars Food must find ways to maintain and improve the overall quality they offer to their consumers in order to benefit long term from advantages associated with good quality products and customer satisfaction such as a positive reputation and increasing sales volume.

Total Quality Management (TQM) is ….. According to the Chartered Quality Institute the TQM process is “a management approach centered on quality, based on the participation of an organisation’s people and aiming at long term success” (n.d). It includes all of the different departments of a business and means everyone is involved in ensuring quality standards for the products are met. …show more content…

Good communication between departments and commitment of both departments and individuals is essential for the success of effective continuous quality improvement; any issues here can reduce efficiency of the process and has potential to lead to further problems. Management must also be aware of and be prepared to make the large commitment of the necessary leadership and resources to allow the facilitation of TQM and in order to meet and follow the ISO 9000
