I am a junior at Northwestern University double-majoring in Economics and Environmental Science. I am interested in becoming a Summer Associate at Parthenon-EY. After speaking with Asher Goldman and learning more about Parthenon, I became more excited about this opportunity. I am eager to use my education and experiences to work with businesses across industries on their strategic challenges and have the opportunity to learn from more experienced people at the firm. In particular, I am excited by the hybrid two-case model which will expose me to more industries and experiences building my knowledge and skills at a rapid pace. In addition, the collaborative culture, based on the principles of being smart, nice, and driven, is appealing to me and makes Parthenon a rewarding place to work. In one project, I read and synthesized over 20 peer-reviewed articles on the behavioral economics of recycling to formulate recommendations for a new recycling program for the City of Baltimore. I presented my findings and supported others in presenting our insights resulting in a new pilot project to drive up recycling rates in Baltimore. To be successful, I had to be diligent, focused, and able to work well with my coworkers. I pushed myself to research and develop a deep understanding of a new topic in a short period of time. In addition, this project required my strong synthesis and communication skills to review large amounts of information and present it effectively and succinctly to senior Baltimore
