As we read further into Acts we encounter the passage of clean and unclean meats, Acts 10:14. The passage says, “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.” Earlier in the reading, God speaks to Apostle Peter in a vision and says to Peter to “kill and eat” all the animals of the earth (the ones God mention to Paul in his vision). However, Peter refused and challenged God and essentially said, “Surely not, Lord!” […] “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean”, Acts 10:14. In the Old Testament and in the New Testament we have God announcing a limited number of animals to be worthy for human consumption while others are not available for ingesting.
