The economy of the United States expanded greatly through the 1920 's reaching its climax in August 1929. By this point, production had already declined and unemployment was at an all-time high, leaving stocks to imitate their real value. As modern Americans think about how lucky we are in some situations and problems. Because for some people, there is or was not any such as luck or escape from the situations and problems like we have today. In the antebellum South and a prison camp Camp 14 in North Korea, their lives are different and hard. In addition, they all lived in the conditions that threaten, oppress, and brainwash them. For them, they don’t have any choice for education and freedom.
Freedom Summer, or the Mississippi Summer Project, was a volunteer campaign launched in June 1964 to attempt to register as many African-American voters as possible in Mississippi, which had historically excluded most blacks from voting. The project also set up dozens of Freedom Schools throughout Mississippi to aid the local black population. The projects leadership and funding came from the SNCC and COFO, along with hundreds of white college students in the north. In 1963, the SNCC organized a mock vote for blacks, which gave them a chance to prove they were capable of understanding politics. The civil rights activists from both organizations and the white volunteers from the north faced many challenges during the campaign.

Mardi Gras Ian Jones ECPI University When I was in the Marines, I attended Mardi Gras with a buddy whose home town was New Orleans. It was almost 15 years ago, and I was barely considered an adult, but it’s an experience I’ll never forget. Historians dates Mardi Gras back thousands of years to pagan festivities of fertility. When Christianity was adopted by the Romans, the religious leaders decided to use these popular traditions into the new faith. As a direct result, the Mardi Gras became a prelude to Lent, which is the 40 days of penance between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday.

THE BEGINNING The Russian Jewish community are hardly a group of people thought of as the paupers of the Brooklyn we know today. With a large amount of immigrants becoming wildly successful in a variety of fields, it’s hard to believe the harsh reality that this group faced in history. From the first two waves of Russian Immigration 1800s to the last wave or Russian Jewish immigration (Orleck), a Russian Jewish person’s life was not one fantasized by many. They lived in rigorous circumstances, most expelled their capability to hold certain jobs, and faced intense cruelty from the fellow tenants in their residencies.
