Say you are a doctor and working at a hospital in the middle of nowhere. There are five patients in need of organs, but the hospital doesn't have any organs for them at the time. There is a sixth patient that is an organ donor and is in need of medicine. If you give the medicine to the sixth patient they will live or if you don't they will die and you can use their organs to save the other five patients. So the question is would you kill patient six to save the five patients that are in need of organs, or give the medicine to patient six and let the five patients die?

In my opinion, the most ethical response is to save patient six, and let the five patients die. The reason why is because it's my job to save patients lives that I can. Additionally, there is a possibility of me going jail if I kill patient six because it is illegal.

The first reason is it's my job to save lives I am able to. I physically have the medicine on hand to give to patient six. I physically don't have the organs to give to the five patients. It also would be my fault if patient six dies because I have the medicine and I didn't hand it over to them. On the other end, I don't have the organs. It is firstly, illegal to do so. Also think about what if patient six wasn't an organ donor? Would you still kill them to get their organs or no? If I also do kill patient six someone would definitely find out whether it would be a doctor or patient six’s family, and they would seek legal action. Also someone made a point on the other side saying that you are selfish if you save patient six because you don't want to go to jail, and you just want to save patient six just for yourself.
