Charles Foster Kane, who was he really? By Thompson ... (1941) Charles Kane was a man that some of us hated or some us loved. He was a mysterious man, we know nothing of him, however we have heard of him. From friends, family, or especially in the newspaper, but who was he really?
Kyam Livingston was a 37 year old mother of two, from Brooklyn, New York who died under police custody in July of this year. During an escalated argument with her elderly grandmother, over alcoholic consumption police were called to the scene. Prior to this altercation, Livingston had made an agreement with her grandmother, a legalized order of protection that was established prohibiting alcohol or fighting in the household. When police arrived she was immediate arrested and taken to King County hospital where she was given treatment for her intoxication. About 8 hours later she was taken to a holding cell in in Brooklyn to wait arraignment.

One famous case of a wrongful conviction sparked a documentary called “An Unreal Dream” about a Austin, Texas man named Michael Morton. Morton was accused of murdering his young wife Christine the day after his 32nd birthday. On August 13, 1986, Christine was brutally murdered while lying in bed. The only witness to the murder was the couple’s 3-year-old son Eric. Michael who worked at a local grocery store, was not at home the time of the murder.
Jackson Scott is a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States National Guard, and has been serving for five and a half years. Jackson was born and raised in Greeneville, Tennessee. He attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and then transferred to East Tennessee State University in Johnson City Tennessee; where he received his degree in criminal justice. The school transfer was mostly because he wanted to be closer to his family and his now wife and my sister, Baylie Scott. Jackson went on to explain that he joined the military because he described it as his “sense of duty.”
Thomas Jefferson was born im Shadwell, Virginia on April 13th 1743. When Thomas was only 14, his father, Peter Jefferson, passed away. He had 10 siblings, 6 sisters and 3 brothers. Their names were Jane, Mary, Elizabeth, Martha, Peter, Lucy, Anna, and Randolph.
Introduction Most people knew from the start that the Jackson 5 brothers would become stars in rock and roll. The Jackson 5 were the first black group to be playing music. They took over communities with their music to become famous. The Jackson 5 were the first African American group to have a huge fan base around there area, to be in the Rock and Roll hall of fame, and there one of the best groups to make music in the 20th century.
Imagine being out to dinner with the love of your life and your beautiful, smiling, 3-year-old child. It's a double celebration: your birthday and the end of your young boy's difficult recovery from surgery for a heart defect. As you cross the street afterward, holding hands and swinging the little one up in the air, you think, "This is what it's about." You know it's one of the best days of your life. For Michael Morton, that day was August 12, 1986.
The Death That Changed Voting On the night of February 18, 1965, Jimmie Lee Jackson was accompanied by two of his family members, Viola Jackson, his mother and Cager Lee, his paternal grandfather. They attended Zion’s Chapel Methodist Church in Marion, a town in Alabama, for a peaceful voting rights march. State Trooper James Bonard Fowler shot Jackson twice in the abdomen. The death of Jimmie Lee Jackson impacted the lives of many blacks and changed voting rights. “On a night when thousands of Paris residents and tourists were reveling and fans were enjoying a soccer match between France and world champion Germany, horror struck in an unprecedented manner. Terrorists -- some with AK-47s, some reportedly with bombs strapped to them – attacked sites throughout the French capitol and at the stadium where the soccer match was underway” (CNN). In a world of constant fighting and terror everyone is in need of leaders that remind them of goodness. Jimmie Lee Jackson, John Lewis, and Barbara Jordan are leaders who fight for good through their determination for equality, beliefs in peace, and passion for justice. Jimmie Lee Jackson was a good leader because he was determined for equality.

Mark David Chapman's sentence for the murder of John Lennon has been a subject of debate for many years. This causes the clear membrane that covers the white part of your eye and the inner surface of your eyelid (conjunctiva) to become inflamed. When the blood vessels in the conjunctiva are inflamed, the eye may become red, pink, and itchy. Chemical conjunctivitis can occur in one or both eyes. It cannot be passed from one person to another (noncontagious).
