Long ago in the Ancient Mongolian Empire, a small boy with the name of Temujin struggled to survive. He originated from the most lowly and humble beginnings, having to take the most extreme measures to make it through life in Mongolia. He hunted for food, fought with his brother, and later was abducted and made a slave (Andrews). Temujin needed to do something to improve his life, so he became emperor of Mongolia, acquired the new name Genghis Khan, and united the tribes of the Mongolian Steppe (Bawden). During his time as emperor, he granted freedom to his subjects and improved women’s rights, creating a better life for everyone in his empire (Kelly). Genghis Khan lived a neglected childhood and grew up to be a true hero. This empire was the largest land empire in history, and its benefits clearly outweigh the negatives. …show more content…

Pax Mongolica is the time of stability and peace in the Mongol Empire. This peace was caused by the freedom of choice Mongols gave the people that came into their land. Mongols did not force people to join a certain religion, or force women to stay in the house and do the chores (Kelly). Instead, they simply allowed their empire to be a place of choice, causing less outrage and less fights. The peaceful people established a peaceful land for 200 years, the era of peace called Pax Mongolica (Kelly).
