15) I least like the character Sawyer Angotti, because he is the son of Julia’s father's enemy. Sawyer’s and Julia’s fathers have been enemies since day one, because they own Italian restaurants right across the street from one another. The reason why I least like Sawyer is because he is one of those kids who roll with the status quo. If he is told to do something, he does it, right or wrong. When they were young, Sawyer and Julia were best friends, until one day Sawyer's father told him he was never to speak to Julia again.
It happened not long after they went missing in the neighboring park. Randy Jackson, one of the boys that were with

In Barbara Kingsolver's novel, The Bean Trees, many themes appear as the reader analyzes the novel. Themes of womanhood, friendship, responsibility, and community tend to be a highlight of the novel. Sometimes when you start a new school you don’t know what you’re going to expect. You don’t know how people are going to treat you, how you will in school, etc. But with Paul’s teammate Victor you don’t know if he will be your friend or foe. A reason Paul and Victor’s relationship is 50/50 is because of Victor’s rudeness and troublemaking. A good example was when Victor had got into trouble with Tino and Hernando at the carnival.
Rowdy showed this by fighting Junior’s bullies. “ Rowdy snuck in, shaved off their eyebrows, and cut off their braids.” , As noted on page 22 which shows that Rowdy was an upstander because he didn’t let anyone get away with what they did to Junior. The book The Outsiders is about a gang who protects each other. They have to deal with many loses and hardships. I liked this book because it showed a group of friends and family, working together to try to be higher than the other gangs, and it showed how close people who are in the same group can get. A character I like is Soda. He protected the whole group, and stood up for them.
The play Joe Turner’s Come and Gone is a playwright set in the early twentieth century when many former slaves began to travel North in search of better opportunity. Taking place in an ever changing environment, each character that passes through Seth Holly’s inn has a very different past and a changing future. August Wilson uses these aspects of character and setting to tell his story, using characters stories as a platform to show the different ways of life that many ex slaves or freedmen had to adopt in order to survive the changing American landscape at the time. August Wilson focuses on characters individually as opposed to on a group basis. By doing so he allows for more character analysis and better background for each individual person.
