Based on these 4 perspectives that BSC have, it sounds like BSC is much superior than the other performance measurement systems but BSC still have its own strengths and also weaknesses. One of the most obvious strengths of BSC is it focuses more on an overall aspect of the organizations’ systems. Besides, BSC will clarify the vision and strategy that the organization need to adopt. BSC also will have the consistency on supervising the strategy of the organization. Moreover, BSC will focus on the strategic planning with the other competitor so that they can perform their best business proposal. The result came out almost the same as the forecasted one so they managed to achieve approximately 87% – 89% in terms of the overall view of its organization business processes target. A company named Cinga P&C from a financing industry had implemented BSC to measure its performance on the 4 perspectives of Finance, Customer, Learning and Growth and Business Process. The first perspective – Finance, it will consider mainly on the financial area. The result came out in the overall view, Cinga P&C only managed to reach 17% of the organizational target which is so low compared to the pipe company who have achieved 41%. The second perspectives – Customer, it will be focused mainly on the factor customer satisfaction. The result came out from the measurement is considered as surprising because Cinga P&C managed to achieved only 26% of its organizational target where it only manage to make some of the customers feel satisfied. It shows that the pipe company is more successful in implementing the BSC system compared to Cinga P&C because the percentage shown is leaning more towards the pipe company more. All of the percentage that resulted from the investigation on the pipe industry is much higher than the result from Cinga P&C. In my opinion, the performance measurement system – Balanced scorecard ( BSC ) is much more superior than the other performance measurement systems because it covers and focuses on more different aspects of an organization’s internal and external perspectives. BSC is able to cover on 4 different perspectives that are considered to be a complete set of system because it comprises the aspects starting from internal to external which are financial, customer, learning and growth and business process. BSC is better compared to the old school type of performance measurement systems that mainly only focuses on some certain aspects especially the financial aspect. These old school versions of performance measurement systems couldn’t help the organization much because it mainly focuses on the financial area and neglected other areas such as customers, internal process and also the company’s growth.
