We are the Future
Growing up, we have all learned about our history, what it means to be an American, and what events lead to where we are now. Our history is a part of what makes us who we are today. We learn how we got to this standing and to prevent history from repeating itself. We, the upcoming generation, are the future. It will be in our hands one day. We will have a say in elections and other important decisions. It is time for us to take a stand and make it the country we desire. We are the future America.

For example, the space race. In 1957, the USSR launched Sputnik 1 into orbit. This created the assumption that the Soviet Union may be controlling from space. With that accusation, began the space race. After many years of trial and error, on July 20, 1969, the United States launched Apollo 11, which successfully landed a man on the moon. That was a major accomplishment for the U.S. and a huge step for science and discovery research. Another major accomplishment has been the improvement in technology. Technology was a major factor in allowing us to get a man on the moon, as well as to get science instruments into space. It has also helped with medical diagnostic and research. Technology provides a way to test the patient to get a diagnosis and a possible cure or remedy. Technology has revolutionized the world of science. The biggest accomplishment is our freedom. It is our job to make a change and create a better world. What is our hope for the future? Our hope for the future is to come together. No matter their age, race, religion, or heritage. We are people and we all have our own beliefs and opinions. As said in the, “Crisis #1”, Thomas Paine used emotional appeal to rally the troops and to get everyone together. Thomas Paine made his point by explaining that the colonies had tried to make peace with Britain for over ten years. The only way the colonists could get out of Britain’s control was if they worked together. Thomas Jefferson once stated, “The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” Jefferson may have said that many years ago, but it still applies today. Social media could be used for good and bring us together. And I believe wholeheartedly that it will not only spread love and respect, but it will make the United States stronger as a whole. Our hope for the future is to be the best that we can possibly be. And it is up to us to make that
