Personal Essay: Why I Love My Writing

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with writing. I’d like to think that I love writing, but this is when I’m not writing. When I’m writing, however, I start to get disinterested. So, because of this, I have the amount of experience of the average high school student, which means I only do papers in school. Most of the writings I do in school involved research on certain topics, such as persuasive essays or review essays for the classes of English and history. I also have done journal entries and stories on vocabulary.
Unfortunately, as said before, I don’t write many entries outside of school. This is because I do not have much free time as is and writing is not my favorite activity to do on my downtime. The only works I make usually revolve around the speech club, as I perform the works. Nobody reads my works, but they listen to my works, I don’t really like to share my writing, but then again, I don’t usually write much.When I do create a new work, I need a quiet surrounding, preferably without people. To become a good writer, a person must be able to portray emotions with accuracy, fluency, and creativity, as well as writing with excellent grammar. From a childhood perspective, my favorite writers are Jeff Kinney (author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid) and Lemony Snicket (author of A Series of Unfortunate Events). Today, I don’t read much, but the author I have liked recently is Richard Evans, creator of the Michael Vey series. I like all of these authors since they were able to portray emotions with finesse. I believe anyone can be a good writer, but with every skill comes practice. Writing is not an exception. In fact, it takes a profound amount of practice to become a good
