As part of my People and Work module in University I was set a task to complete an individual presentation on performance management and in specific 360 degree feedback. The task was set through flipping a coin in class and individuals were each allocated a question to present on. From that moment onwards I was filled with dread. Firstly, I lost my coin toss for my first choice of topic and had to scramble through the other options to find an alternative. My fourth choice was thankfully still available. I then had to research, prepare and present back to my class on my topic by week ten. Throughout this report I will evaluate the experience from preparing to presenting to receiving feedback, my thoughts and feelings throughout each stage, what my strengths and weaknesses were throughout the presentation, reflecting on this to create an action plan in order to improve my presentations in the future and to pinpoint how I can develop my overall employability skills. I have left with a clear plan to work on through my year in industry and my future career path. I have identified main strengths such as researching but also weaknesses such as the speed of my speech and these may not have been highlighted otherwise. I will take on board both the positive and negative feedback in order to become a more effective communicator. I feel I have fully reflected on my feelings on the lead up to the presentation, during and reflecting back over the following days. I have fully analysed what I can take away from this experience and how I can develop skills in order to improve my employability. Overall, I feel I have effectively evaluated this experience and gained a great improvement
