Just when you think life is cool and peachy and you are on top of the world, you soon get slapped in the face by reality. You catch yourself walking through the entrance of your high school, a place you will be for the next four years of your life give or take. High school is a big test for yourself, school will mentally, emotionally, and physically test you. High School for me was stressful in certain ways, and not because I was doing bad, but because I was trying so hard not to do bad. High school is the basic foundation of how you will spend the rest of your life, high school tells you whether you will be successful or not. The first day of ninth grade I remember getting on the school bus and everyone was laughing and catching up over the missed time from summer, everyone has on their new shoes, jackets, clothes, and jewelry. College for me will be a big step just for the simple fact, no one in my family has ever attended college, so therefore they cannot tell me the do’s and don 'ts about college.I feel that college is going to be a great learning experience and will shape me better as an individual, especially as an African American male in today 's society. I will graduate from college and enter my career in policing. I want to move to another state and find new scenery for me and my family, I plan to be married and have three or four kids if God willing. To me helping people is very important and with this career, I feel I can impact the youth and help them become better individuals so they can impact the next
