As an actress and stagehand for the New York Civic Theatre, I am committed to a career in the entertainment business. Over the past twelve years, I have worked on every aspect of set design and production, mastering the endless technical challenges that live theatre presents. Consequently, I am equally comfortable constructing sets, sewing costumes, stringing lights and running lines with famous actors. Even after all these years, I have not lost my passion for the business. I still get goose bumps on opening night when I watch the combined energy of the production company come together for the first time in front of a live audience.
On November 10 I attended Elf the Broadway Musical written by David Berrenbaum and directed by Sam Scalamoni. I attended Elf the Broadway Musical which was put on by Texas A&M University and MSC OPAS. Elf the Broadway Musical was a comedic musical that appealed to audience members of any ages including a range from myself a college student to the family of four sitting next to me. Elf the Broadway Musical was a delight surprise, since I had seen Elf (film) I expected the play to appeal more to a younger audience, but was surprised when I found myself laughing alongside the two children sitting next to me. I honestly did not have very high expectation from this play for some reason I was just not very excited to attend this play maybe it was
Standing on the dark stage, I took deep, slow breaths to calm my nerves. My stomach did somersaults and my hands shook. Fidgeting with my pink peasant top and ankle length yellow floral skirt, I made eye contact with my fellow actors. The closed curtain was the only thing separating us from an audience of five hundred people. One would think that after three months of rehearsals I would feel prepared for this, but I didn’t.
I chose this dance because it seemed like a true ballet dance. While I was looking for a clip I came across countless dances that were “mixed genres” such as, contemporary ballet and lyrical ballet. This dance is also very beautifully unique, the way the dancer makes her positions clear(1:16), how she uses her limbs to her long limbs to her advantage, and how her movements progressively get faster with the song make this dance unique .

When I was in Year 5, a children's theatre company came to my primary school and performed a show about a journey through space. The use of extravagant costume, aesthetically pleasing proxemics and exaggerated acting really interested me. It was this experience that really opened my eyes to the world of theatre and since then I have been obsessed. I want to study Musical Theatre at university in hopes of having a career in this subject.
I am Julianna Jenkins an outgoing Musical Theater major with a dream to be an entertainment lawyer. I have been going to Appomattox Regional Governors School for 3 years as a Musical Theater Major. One of the reason I fell in love with Greensboro College is because it has a small community and that will give my an opportunity to grow. After meeting some of the Musical Theater students from freshman to senior they all said that they have gotten support from student and teachers at Greensboro. They also said that Greensboro is not a place that you will get lost in the crowd.
Ball State University’s production of this musical was able to reveal how one’s differences can be so easily demonized through the costuming of characters, unique lighting design, and specific mannerisms presented by the actors. The costuming design for a show is the most basic way the audience can physically visualize a character’s personality. At the end
I was assigned to door 10 when the doors were opened. At door 10, I did my briefing with my group and instructed them about what is allowed and what is not but then, I got moved to the little theater to watch 1 and 3. I did another briefing with the group and informed about everything again that is
Most parents put their daughters in cheerleading because of the uniform and they think it will be a “cute” memory; however, that was not the case for me. I instantly fell in love with the sport, and at six it became my goal to make the varsity team my first year of high school. After telling my mom the goal I had set for myself, she enrolled in tumbling classes and signed me up for rec league cheer every season to help me learn the skills I would need when I tried out. I had waited months to try out for the high school cheer program since the original date had been postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak. I remember walking out of tryouts confident in how I performed in front of the judges.
From the moment I stepped past through the set of large, orange colored, double doors into the exhibit hall floor I knew it was everything I had ever dreamed it would be. The first thing I laid my eyes on was a blue and white poster that stretched from end to end titled "Welcome Nerds! To PLANET COMIC-CON! " If you can imagine the smell in the air was a mix of excitement and the overwhelming passion for pop culture. Over the past few months, my friends and I recently made the bold decision to embark on an unforgettable adventure like never before.
My history as a writer has been a bit of a struggle of slow development. From a young age I had a hard time with spelling and this is still a trouble area for me, even with the help of autocorrect. As I grew in age and as a writer my problematic area became not including enough nitty gritty details. My bad experiences that I recall would always involve the start of writing because I struggle with beginning paragraphs. Also, I tend to use the ending paragraph to just repeat myself, so overall my first and last paragraphs are usually shit.
In a couple of weeks the next step to finishing my career will get a bit closer, I’m excited to see what is coming to me on January two new classes means a lot of information to catch. Every time I finish a course it means a bit closer to becoming a Pre school teacher. Moving on to another course is a big step a whole different subject to learn and study, but I feel prepared to go on. I think I 'm ready to move on to the future classes. My advice is to relax and take your assignment very seriously not to rush on them if you give your self time you can turn them in on time and have a passing grade.
Most people never would consider Centre, Alabama, a small sleepy Southern town with a laid back atmosphere that could put an incurable insomniac to sleep, home to a thriving community theatre. Theatre Centre provides entertainment, wonder, dread, and happiness for all who witness it. I have loved and adored the theatre ever since I was a small child, performing in every play I could. Standing on stage fills me with a sense of pride and happiness that can be found nowhere else in the world. I love theatre, and even though the theatre I love more than any other thrives in a small town in Alabama, I still have a wonderful experience every time I go.
