Missing classes and assignments will case a serious impact on your final grades. You need to catch up with all your classes and reading during this weekend. Overall, I believe the assignments were a glimpse into what to expect in later semesters, especially with how overbearing tasks will be especially in my
As in any class worth taking I expect there to be challenges when dealing with the course material
Upon beginning my first class at Walden University, it has been difficult to see myself getting through this 8-week course. Furthering my education has been something I have struggled to accomplish for the last 4 years. I almost decided to give up and continue being just a high school teacher. However, being a senior teacher that motivates my students to go above an beyond to reach their goal has pushed me to work hard and start a new journey. Though it is only the beginning of my journey, I can see graduation.
Lifelong professionalism begins with the desire to not only meet the standards of the industry in which I plan to work, but to excel. Meeting all educational requirements, maintaining a professional physical presence, remaining knowledgeable and dependable, and executing outstanding communication will insure that I remain professional from the beginning of my career until the day I chose to withdraw from the
In my future, I hope to continue the skills I have acquired during this English class. I think that they will be very obliging to me, nevertheless of what I am trying to achieve. In this course, I was encountered with deadlines, instructions, and assignments that I could not work around. I found that all of these responsibilities have made me comprehend that I could definitely take the next step forward in life.
Entering my first high school track and field season was so exciting--it was the start of my discus career where I could actually compete amongst other talented throwers in a span of many more meets. I felt confident since I had always been advanced in my years of throwing since I started at around the age of 9. Learning from an experienced and intelligent coach, I felt there was no way I could not succeed, but then a problem arose. The man who had been coaching me for almost five years could no longer work for the track and field team. I continued to work with him on my own when he was available, however, it appeared that other teammates were suffering due to the lack of guidance and critique.
I've learned that I need to prioritize my time in a valuable manner, I've learned that I need to pay attention to my instructor's instructions, I've learned how to write a paper, as well as what I need to work on grammar wise, thanks to my writing lab. Firstly, when I started this course, it was rough fitting classwork into my day. Having a full-time job and a two-year-old kept me quite tired, but once I finally committed
At the time I wondered how much I am supposed to spend on this class, all these countless questions that went through my mind were tedious. Towards spring semester I knew that time management was the
Every day was full of lectures, tests, and skills training. These were some difficult months. I was juggling having a job and the class. But, it was worth it. The final week of my class I got to do clinicals at a retirement
All of which that required a set number of skills, and I was able to improve these by the continuation of work that was being set. Before long, I was able to see a clear connection to the University choices that would be available to me after finishing my studies at college, and the type of career path from doing so. Not only that, but I gained an higher level of communication skills, particularly when working in groups for a certain assignment, or just general discussion of this, which I feel is a fundamental part of success, especially with this course. When meeting deadlines, this is something I never found to be a struggle, as I continually set goals, and different targets, so that I can plan ahead for success, which has proven to be extremely effective throughout studying this
Growing Professionally My view of professionalism when I was first starting my career after graduating from college was the typical business-attired yuppie trying to get her place in the huge world called “work.” First impression lasts, I thought. So why not try to make that impression without even saying a word. That very eager and yuppie view I’ve had then expanded as I inched my way through the working world.
I am most passionate about the fictional stories that I develop and the characters that go along with them. Because of this, I inspire to become a director, producer, and/or a scriptwriter for my own series rather than an author, but that’s another goal, too. My passion for creative writing stemmed from fourth grade, where I saw my group of friends and I as heroes, saving the world and conquering evil. Although I am no longer in contact with most of them, I still continue to develop the characters I based off of them to shape their own unique personalities and paths. Practically, all of my characters were based mostly off of my own experiences with people, characters from television series, real-life places, and more.
I’m only taking 5 classes this year, which makes my life a little less stressing. My toughest subject this year was probably Economics. It was something different, a new experience. I was introduced to a whole new level of vocabulary and it was tough to memorize. I also did horrible in the tests, but I was able to push through that
Traveling from city to city after every two years since childhood made me realize how much there is to learn and explore. This nomadic lifestyle of mine gave me a thirst to travel and learn about new places, diverse people, and their surroundings. Traveling became a part of life because I am the daughter of an armed officer, but the extensive change in locations made me hungry for more experience. It captivated me to my deepest core. Little did I know that this carving for new adventures would remain with me.
