In conclusion, as a future teacher, it is important to understand my responsibility to report any suspected child neglect or abuse. Even if my future student does not give me permission to report the incident, if the child is in danger, it is my responsibility to report. By keeping his promise of confidentiality to J.D., Dr. Pesce put J.D. in great danger. The student was in danger at school because of the misconduct of the teacher, and he was in danger outside of school because of his shame and suicidal thoughts and tendencies.
The reporter stated on 03/20/16, Mrs. Busser tried to start an argument with Colton about school and his father; Mrs. Busser tried to get the child to answer questions about his father that he did not want to answer. According to the reporter, Mrs. Busser pulled the child’s hair and slapped him in the face and back of his head. The reporter also stated that his wife almost wreaked the car and threw the child’s cell phone out the car window. Mr. Busser stated he contacted law enforcement but Mrs. Busser had already left the city’s limit. Per the reporter, the child told his mother his face and tongue was numb so she took him to an Olive Branch hospital.
In “Macbeth,” by Shakespeare, King Duncan of Scotland is a generous man, but has a horrible weakness that affects others. His weakness constantly puts his kingdom and his life in danger. His weakness happens to be that he gains the trusts of others so easily, and is too kind to those he barely knows. The Thane of Cawdor, who was appointed by the King, was disloyal and began a bloody battle. This angered the King, and the Thane of Cawdor was later executed.
I 'm finally working on a chapter book. Still planning it, feeling inspired, and having fun. Writing has always been a stress reliever for me. To all the writers in this group, I hope you get the same great feeling as I do when working on a book. I support books as people support movies, music, and anything else.
Over the weekend, I went to Starbucks with a friend, and knowing that I would need to engage in mindful listening for my communication portfolio. I had taken the opportunity. Even though I did not let my friend know what I was aiming to do. One demonstrates mindful listening when they are careful and thoughtful, processing a high level of information in response to other’s message. This was the perfect moment to practice mindful listening because my friend was sharing his issues regarding other relationships.
When I was in kindergarten, I did not have friends; my highs and lows oscillated on the approval of others who understood me even less than I did myself. For picture day, I remember being happy to wear my favorite shirt: a Strawberry Shortcake blouse with ruched sleeves. A girl deprecatingly told me I looked like a little kid. I never wore the shirt again. Although I already felt like an outsider, the situation worsened when I moved from Las Vegas to Hawaii.
When I think of these last few summers I have many memories that I can still see quite vividly. These not only include the good times but the bad times as well, however they always say, “what 's a rainbow without a little rain?” Although there is a variety I can choose from only one clearly sticks out in my mind. The best experience I have had over the summer was taking a late night adventure to the Great Plains statue, located in Wichita, Kansas, with my cousin. It 's something so simple, yet it holds so much meaning. I believe that if you have not been to the Great Plains statue during the night time you have not truly had the full experience.
Early in my life, I used books as an escape from the harsh reality in front of me. When I was around five years old, I was trapped in an abusive and sheltered household. When the yelling started, I used to hide under my bed and stay very quiet. I would read any book that I could find to keep my mind off what was happening around me. I made myself a safe space under my bed with a light and pillows.
Third Grade It was a cool and very cold morning at my school. It was around 10 a.m and we went outside to have Recess. We were playing two hand touch football.
For my second Deaf event, I went to the First Evangelical Free Church in McKeesport. This service had a Deaf Ministry along with a signed interpretation of the service. This experience was amazing, even though getting to this was quite a journey. Firstly, I was planning on going to BINGO with Emily McPeake, but when we arrived, we were told that we had the dates wrong, so we decided to go to church the following Saturday.
I grew up as the youngest of four girls. While being the youngest child isn’t always the easiest, it has really contributed to who I am today. As the baby, I got to learn from not only mine, but my sisters’ mistakes and successes as well. I learned how to disagree with people calmly and talk things out. I learned to be able to listen to and accept other people’s opinions even if I didn’t agree with them.
My classmates and I sat eagerly in our chairs as we awaited to find out the names of our “Little Buddies” - a privilege fourth graders gained as they began growing mature. Although we continued on our day, assigning books, receiving piles of paperwork to give to our parents for their night of “homework”, and decorating and embellishing names tags that would stick to our desks allowing Mrs. Ross to get to know our names. Before I knew it, the time to board the bus and return home to tell mom all about my first day of fourth grade approached quickly. However, paranoia set in when Mrs. Ross never gave us the names of our “Little Buddies”! Come to find out Mrs. Ross explained to her students that the she needed to see what her students had to offer before sending them to either hurt or aide the younger second graders.
Granted, I comprehend that I am not much more than just an ordinary adolescent. However, I am an adolescent with a commitment to myself. Which is, to leave my mark in this world. I know that the process will indeed be challenging, but I am willing to go the extra mile in order to attain what I desire. Also, as Brandy Clay stated about himself, I too believe that I "...was blessed with certain gifts and talents and God gave them to me to be the best person I can be..."
