My partner is Cathryn Cusano, she has lived in Easton, Pennsylvania throughout her entire life. Cathryn has a love for softball and has played ever since she was a little girl. During Cathryn’s senior year of high school she had multiple offers to play softball for elite colleges in the area. She started out having an amazing season, the team was also thriving which eventually resulted in them making it to the playoffs. It was the first round of playoffs and Cathryn was on first base, one of her teammates was up to bat.

Alyssa Stongle Session 1 - Journal Throughout all my 26 years, I have done a lot of really diverse, amazing things in my life. Starting out with dance when I was about 5, I continued to be in dance companies throughout my younger years. Then, while in middle school and high school, I was on a competitive dance company which really was the highlight of my life. I did a lot of volunteer work in high school as well as joining cheerleading, the diving team, FBLA, made honors in choir becoming a regional choir member and then going on to join all-state honor choir which is an absolute gem in itself to be a part of.
Ever since I was young, I have always heard someone talking about Marquette. Part of this may be due to the fact that three of my neighbors have gone to Marquette and have absolutely loved it. Adding on to that, I have met even more people that have gone to Marquette that have really liked it and are usually successful in life. I met even more people at the Marquette open house that were from all over the United States and said they went to Marquette and they hope their child will attend Marquette as well. This made me realize that Marquette is truly local, since I know several people that have gone to Marquette that live by me and at the same time it is global, since I have met people around the United States, as well as other countries that
When Samantha Kisamitakis was a young child she, “Didn't have a lot of support growing up because of my dysfunctional family that was only looking out for themselves. I had to buy my own clothes, food, and my own phone.” She realized that when she had her first child that she had to do something in her life. So at the age of 20 she tried going to college with a one year old by her side. But, her family wasn’t helping with the child, so she had to take a break.
For my service on the Plunge, I first went to Our Lady’s Inn, where we talked to a woman working there, watched a video on their mission, and took a tour of the building. I then went to Grace Hill Preschool, where two girls and I helped out in a classroom. At Grace Hill we did a number of tasks including, helping them follow along in a book being read to them, playing on the playground and teaching and singing songs about daily tasks, such as tying their shoes, or packing their backpack. We finished the day at St. Vincent Depaul where we heard 5 women tell their story and experiences with poverty.
The Ashley case was about a medical procedure done that went over the line of biological ethicality for many. The scenario has a plethora of factors to consider when questioning its ethicality. Even with all of the facts, both options have negative results It was a highly debated decision made by two parents that was sure to set precedent for future medical practices.
