Like previous years, I will work with JSA alumni, corporations, and foundations to secure matching grants. The matching grants are a good way to spark donations. On top of that, I wish to have a competition between states to see who can raise the most money before Fall State. The winning state will receive a special prize such as an extra $500 into their state’s StayClassy account.
“My mother died of breast cancer when I was a boy and it is important for me to help this organisation that helps women and their families deal with diagnosis,” Mayor Alex said. “It is important that people understand cancer could happen to anyone,” he said. More than $1 million was raised at the event as the entrance fee is $5 for each participant and all the money collected will go to Breast Awareness for Women. Raw Copy
Available to everyone in a non-competitive atmosphere, participants can raise funds for fighting cancer by completing the run to the best of their ability.

The role of event chair entitles me to completely organize, our entire event from scratch, to opt for the most successful Relay for Life event of the year. Athletic Training goes way back to the 20th century in the Olympic Games. Football had become a national sport in the United States. With all the rough play, hard hits, and concussions, everyone knows how violent the sport can be. “The 1950s brought about the National Athletic Trainers Association, which included trainers from Japan, Canada, and the United States (“NATA History”). Approximately 200 trainers participated in the first meeting that was in Kansas City.
Athletic participation at all ages has increased tremendously over the years. Student-athletes are working harder to become bigger, stronger and faster. As the number of athletes rise in schools, so does the chance of athletic related injuries. This is leading to the increase number of athletic trainers at the high school level across the country. Athletic trainer is defined as a “health care professional who collaborates with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation” (AMA 19).
The sound of loud music, people cheering on, and the rattling of metal weights are what made me an addict to this sport. These are just a few things that Robert T described in his article Powerlifting. “I’m an addict, and have been since freshman year.” Alright, this is a small quote I relate very much to it. I entered the weight room as a freshman and I knew I would never stop going.

As a student, I always find myself stressed about things like homework, tests, due dates, grades, rent, and all other sorts of college-related problems. When I start to feel overwhelmed by all of the noise of being a young college student, I turn to the one thing that gives me the greatest sense of purpose and inner piece; weightlifting. For me, a weightlifting session is a form of meditation, a time when I can be by myself and truly find inner peace. There is no better feeling to me when I enter a gym with a planned and detailed workout in mind. The feeling of anticipation and readiness to vent out my stress gives me the motivation to hit a workout hard.
Most of the people in the gym had their headphones in and were inside of their own world, oblivious to what was going on in all of the surrounding areas. The majority of the conversations that were going on were most often strictly gym based questions. I heard a few questions that were not just gym based but for the most part I was hearing questions about the weight amounts people should use, or questions of people asking another person to put more weight onto their machines and such things. One specific conversation I heard was two guys talking about the pre-workout and post-workout they drink, the guys were discussing their favorites and why they were their favorites. My favorite part of the conversation was at the end when they both said they
The Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model is a framework for reaching an optimal training, competition and recovery schedule for all aspects of human development. This model should allow all individuals to be physically active through participation in sport and recreation. It is important to begin the learning process at a young age. Before an individual can become skilled in any activity, they must first acquire the fundamental skills. In soccer, developing the basic skills such as running, jumping, throwing, kicking, etc allows the child to utilise and incorporate them into practice and live games.
