My Senior year was supposed to be a a time to remember but it was not. I got into my first accident. My friend and I wanted to go eat after school. We all meet up in the parking lot. We decided to go to Chick fil a. Chick-fil-A was a long way from our school so we car pooled.
My journey with Chick-fil-A began when I was 16 years of age. Even as a teenager, I understood the value of a dollar thanks to my parent’s direction. I wanted to have the freedom of driving my first car and beginning my financial future. As soon as construction began on Reynolds Road FSR, I recognized I wanted to work there. I completed my application online and delivered it to the trailer marked “Now Hiring” in the parking lot.
Students learn how to interact with other kids their age, be respectful, make new friends, and overall mature to become the best they can be, while also being prepared for life after school. In order for these students to not only learn the school subjects that are stepping stones for the rest of their academics, careers, and future jobs. Students need other time in school to work on these other important skills, lunch is this exact time. In order to maximize students conversing and making connections, all students should see each other as equals and companions. A problem with the school lunch system currently is that “Students who qualify for free school meals often receive different meals or are forced to stand in different lines, which can lead to stigma and abuse from their peers” (Besser and Bussell).
Consequently, the adjustment of school lunch menus would adequately boost the mindset of all students. For instance, a student consuming healthier food is more prone to be attentive and creative, rendering improvements in interaction and memorization as opposed to students who rely solely on traditional foods, a compatibility vital to success. Difference defines cultural versatility, shades of variance and societal prominence in a society reaped of originality or variety in the standards of everyday life. Upon changing menus and lunch systems across the nation, schools experience more than only health benefits in students and facilities. By providing a larger variety of meals throughout the school day, more students are served to their preferences, eliminating unfair school policies and complementing a system of equality in which all can abide.

But not everyone can be aware of it. In “The Censors” by Luisa Valenzuela’s short story, we see that she uses Irony, Dynamic Characters, and Foreshadowing to show us the theme of the story about these things can change a person based on conflict and experience. In this short story, Juan is a guy who meets a girl named Mariana and wants to send her a letter but once he does, he realizes that he needs to get the job to pass the letter through, while he's doing this, he changed as a person and his goals are out the window.
The food raised in the program would then be used in the school cafeteria which would support healthier eating and give students satisfaction and reward for their work. The last big change in the learning day
To start off, what if I asked if you have ever felt that your school provided lunch wasn’t all that great? If I had asked a student, chances are they’d say that they don’t eat their school lunch by choice. But we’re just seventh graders that don’t know a lot of what really goes on when it comes to our lunches, so I intend to show you some research that I found from credible sources that proves that school lunches need to change. First off, let me give you the gist of what it says on an infographic about school food vs prison food where both would probably be fairly unappetizing for the person that was eating. The prison food tray has 3-4 ounces of meat, one beverage, one serving of fruit or dessert.
During my time working at Safeway I gained invaluable experience in terms of both personal and professional growth. However, after nearly a year of working, I felt as if the job had become stagnant. There was no longer any unique experiences I could gain, and each shift felt indistinguishable from the last. Incidentally, this also meant that the job was very secure; the pay was adequate and I worked the same shifts every week. I was faced with the difficult decision of either furthering my personal development or maintaining a very secure job.
In most places, many love eating their favorite foods. The elimination of students' favorite foods in their school, causes the restlessness of student. They would question the healthy new lunch menu and start complaints about it with the cafeteria. Changing the menu would also cause less students to eat the new alternative lunch, cafeteria workers may lose their jobs, and causes the lessening of decision making.
I don 't remember if I told you, I met a lady at Grant Beach Park last weekend after my son 's soccer game who works at the Fairbanks. They want to see if I can meet Monday at 10 a.m. to see the material for Parent Cafés, is it okay if I meet with them or would you like to be there too? I 'll be done and make it in time for this staff meeting at noon.
Hook and topic sentence To Begin With, having Off-Campus lunch for middle school students has many benefits for students and teachers. Students will be able to focus because they ate. Teachers won’t have to always tell the students to pay attention in class because they got all of their energy out and students won’t be so hungry. In an article from DailyAmerican.com Tyler Sanners states, that “I believe that students should be able to leave school grounds for lunch only if they have transportation and parental consent.” Cafeteria food is expensive, and doesn’t fill your stomach.
Action Plan Summary For module two my action plan to reach my goal of reducing my chance of developing diabetes by reducing the amount of sugar I consumed was to drink nothing but 2 liters of water at least 5 times a week, as well as cutting down on sugary snacks in my diet. For module three, my action plan to reach my goal of gaining 5 pounds in three months was to perform strength training at least 3 days a week doing routines for different muscle groups each day. I have been going through with my plan, but I have only managed to put on 3 pounds of muscle in the last 2 months. Although I am a little behind on my progress towards my goal, I plan to keep going forward and accomplish as much as I can. For module four, my action plan was to track to food I eat every week and to make sure what I am consuming meets the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
Overworked. That’s the closest word that I could use to describe this week. I feel like this journal is going to be about me just bickering, yet there is some stuff you might want to read about. First of all, I have been sleeping three hours this week because of upcoming midterms, quizzes, and assignments due. I am sleep deprived and mentally drained and as my second year in college I have never had my life drained out of my body like a passing shadow.
Stress has become a major issue for high school students. Many students have seven classes, participate in sports, have after school activities, homework, and need to get an adequate amount of sleep each night. Some parents and outside influencers don’t see the benefits of having a longer lunch period for high school students. Students complain about how long school is now but they don 't have enough time outside of school to complete everything they are expected to. While it is understandable that some parents wouldn’t want longer lunches because it could result in safety issues and students having to remain in school 30 minutes longer than the traditional time, longer lunches would give students a chance to complete homework, get help from teachers, and eat a nutritious meal.
