In To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Justice was shown through some of the main characters in this book. Like a figure of a mockingbird Tom Robinson, Boo Radley, and Atticus all showed great justice throughout this book. Tom Robinson, has never harmed anyone and always helped with anything he could. Boo Radley, although never really seen by the community much, showed that he is really a nice man towards the end of the book. Atticus Finch also showed character by standing helping Tom even when most of the community was against him.
In “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell, Rainsford’s attitude towards hunted animals changes as he has first-hand experience in Zaroff’s game of knowing how scared animals are when they are hunted. When Rainsford finds out what Zaroff hunts, he becomes angry that Zaroff sees no difference between fighting wars, and killing helpless humans as he says, “Why should I not be serious? I am speaking of hunting.’ ‘Hunting? Great Guns, General Zaroff, what you speak of is murder”(Connell 6).
In The Most Dangerous Game, Richard Connell suggests that the hunter is not that different from the hunted when the big game hunter Rainsford becomes general Zaroff’s prey. Rainsford believes that hunting is a game because he doesn’t value the lives of the animals he hunts. When conversing with his hunting companion Whitney, Rainsford presents his view of the subject by stating that, ”You’re a big-game hunter, not a philosopher. Who cares how a jaguar feels?”(92). Contradicting his superior’s opinion, Whitney suggests that “they understand one thing—fear. The fear of pain and the fear of death.
My dad and I went on a muzzleloader antelope hunting trip, in Central Oregon. Four days into our trip, on September 1st, we started our morning off like the past three days, very tired. We stumbled out of our beds and, drowsily, we geared up and left for another unknowing day of hunting. Once we arrived at some alfalfa fields, my dad let me drive the dirt roads.
It was a sunny afternoon we are at the farm in Hillman. I was waiting to go whitetail deer hunting. My dad was talking to his friend Buzz for a very long. Finally my dad was done talking and we started walking out to the edge of a barley field. I was using my dad 's 270.
Shoot a banded duck I love to shoot a banded duck which is a duck with a band on its foot that the DNR has placed on the duck. The band has a special code on it, if you send the code number into the DNR and they will call you. They will then share with you where the bird has migrated from. I think it would be very fun and cool to shoot one.
A goal that I set for myself in the past that I did not successfully accomplish would be to complete another (third) marathon. I had set out to finish three and I have only done two to date. I could say the reason is because we moved and I haven’t had the opportunity to run, but really it’s about commitment. I am not ready to commit to the training schedule quite yet. An example of a goal I did accomplish was the finishing the first two marathons.
It was a cold breezy morning when I walked outside. Goosebumps cover my body because of excitement and nervousness. It was finally here, opening day for the gun hunt.. Grabbing my blaze orange and unzipping the jacket, I put it on. I grabbed my hat and put it on my head. My dad unhinged the gun case and took my gun out.
Was the revolutionary a war between the American colonist and the crown of England in 1775 a expected shift of power or a radical movement? Looking closer at the long terms effects of the war it was clearly a radical movement. The revolutionary war changed the way people viewed free thought and inspired free personal choice. The war produced radical social change. And it was the spark that incited people to challenge old ways and think of new advancements.
Coyotes. I made some friends from trails but I didn’t get to talk to everybody in trails. After a few days I made some new friends, but my habits came in. I forgot some their names. I wasn’t able to recognize their names.
All of the stress I have had on me the past month has been weighing me down. Now when I go hunting think of where I should shoot it for a clean kill. I think what the deer brings me, like the meet, the hide, and the warmth from the hide . I praise the lord now for what he has given me. I have to fill two more tags by the end of second season of deer hunting.
The first time I went to Hunting Island in South Carolina I knew that this was just the kind of vactaion I would always adore. The sun was warm on my face, and bright enough to make me squint. I would have been fine without sunglasses, but the tan-white sand reflected the brilliance into my eyes, so I put them on. It glared on the water, creating sparkling pathways of diamonds. The sky and the ocean were so blue it was hard to tell where the sea ended and the heavens began.
My dad set some corn out to lurer the deer in with. Then we went to go sit down against a tree. The tree was tall and dark brown. We got all settled down and ready to wait for a deer to come.
The Hunt It was a gloomy September day and the bear hunting season was about to begin. The old farm truck was loaded full with barrels of cooking grease, assorted candy, birdseed and tubes of sticky frosting. We were to hunt four hours north in a little town called Orr, Minnesota. My family had an 80 acre lot that we used strictly for hunting. My mom volunteered to sit in the stand with me and videotape the hunt.
One of the best days of my life was when we went deer hunting in South Dakota with my dad, brother, uncle and two cousins, but before I tell you about my trip let me tell you how it started. We left early in the morning to head to South Dakota where my cousin Jacob, who had just got a job as Game warden in Custer State Park, was taking us deer hunting. We got as far as Fargo, North Dakota when my cousin Keith asked my dad where our license were. Then to our surprise we forgot them back at home. We were lucky enough to have my two aunts and mom bring us the license because they were going to Fargo that day anyways for a girls shopping day.
