It’s about what you like and not what somebody else likes. Sometimes, though, not letting certain people get to you can be hard. Fighting your own thoughts, struggling to keep yourself together, holding back tears because you’re afraid they will hurt more if you do. Bullying is a sad reality that affects many people, not only the one getting bullied but the people around them that love them. I would know. It was the summer of 8th grade. The Smokey Woods is a secluded place out in the middle of nowhere that my friend and I only know about. My friend Riley and I love to go there every day afterschool to get away. However, we thought we were the only ones who knew about that spot, but we were wrong. A group of high school boys came out one afternoon and found us. Riley was really trying to fit in with them.
