Personal Narrative Essay: Preparing For Spring Hill

On a Friday a while back, I got out of school early. I had gotten out to finish packing for Spring Hill. Spring Hill is a tubing resort in Michigan and I was going with my youth group. I finished packing and my mom drove Ben Turner and me over to the church. “Ben are you excited” I asked Ben
Ben said “ Yeah, I’m pretty excited it’s been a couple of years since i 've gone.” I told him he didn’t sound very excited.
I got to church and talked to Mark for a bit and Grant one our friends showed up. Mark said he needed help getting the back two seats out of the van so we could put luggage back in the vans. After waiting for ten minutes we packed the vans and left. The ride there was two hours long and was so much fun. We listened to music on the radio …show more content…

The next day Mark said “Go shower and put any of the stuff we weren’t going to use so we didn’t have to pack as much.” Once we were all done showering it was time for the first session of the day. At this session the band told a story about their childhoods. They had a special green screen setup to do a little skit for a song they made. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen done live on a stage. After the session we had breakfast and then a lot of free time. Ben, Grant, and I went to the shops and walked around for a bit. We played nine square and then went to the shops to look for gifts for our families. After some free time we had lunch where our church sat together. I got a bunch of candy after lunch for the car ride home. I only had a quarter left of the money for Springhill but I still had money for dinner later in my wallet. After that we had to pack up our luggage and the vans and park at the front of the parking lot. After that we had the last session where the band played and we summed up Spring Hill for the year. After all that we all said goodbye to the band and speaker. The car ride home was fun because I was with my friends and others that I had just met and became friends with.
