As we walked inside the dirty, salt stench, of a theme park, My sister started going nuts wanting to ride everything. My parents told her to wait a minute while they got themselves situated. Finally the part of the trip I was dreading the most, the part where I had to go ride the blue streak. The line wasn 't too long so we decided to go. I sat in the car with my sister, which by the way was a little bigger then me, so the bar that came across our lap only went up to my stomach.
Over the summer I traveled to Tennessee to see my cousins. The day we arrived, we visited Lake Winnie, an amusement park with tons of rides with a water park. It was a joyful day. That day I went on the first roller coaster I 've ever been on. While walking nervously up the steps to get into line with my cousin, I felt the adrenaline rushing through my body, and I felt very anxious.
My Michigan Hero I want you to think of someone special, to think of a hero. When I think of a hero I think of my dad. I remember when I was younger, and I didn’t like to read. My dad taught me just how amazing reading is.
My Personal Michigan Hero I can feel my brain being over run by lesions. This is one of the ways my dad, Tim Huyge, jokes about his dieses M.S. He was born in the 1970’s in a hard-working middle class family. After high school, he went to Grand Valley University, and worked as the manager of T.J.Max. Until he had to retire because of his M.S.
There are some people that I can’t imagine living life without. I can’t live life without my friends from school, my blood family, or my dogs. Though I cannot live without any of the entities I just listed, there is someone that I know, this person is special. This person has left a big impact on my life, and his name is Jody. I remember when me, my mom, my sister, and Jody would go to Culvers every week that I was with my mom.
I have lived in Michigan for my whole life. The state of Michigan itself is a very unique place, but even more unique is the upper peninsula of Michigan. The UP is barely more than three percent of the population of Michigan. We 're known as Yoopers, many people think of us as rednecks that sit around and hunt all day. Though the opening days of hunting season means most of the teachers are gone for hunting, there is a lot more to the UP than hunting.
Hearing the sirens of the ambulance and from police cars growing up made me think about how I will continue to be afraid of an ambulance and police car sirens because Wyandotte County has a high crime rate and sometimes I thought about not evening stepping out of my house. Right at the moment that I step outside my house, I wouldn't know if I would come back. No ones life is guaranteed so throughout my high school years I was very strict on myself in regards to hanging out with people and with which people I can rely upon. From school, I went directly to my house because I thought it wouldn't be safe for me to be out especially in a Wyandotte County. I always had to have that in the back of my head because of the area I live in.
Being raised in an environment where family is the core value, the Buckeye family has given me an opportunity to learn and extend that principle beyond my immediate family. Family, not only is it be happy zone, it should also be the first place a person looks for help. Ever since my family immigrated to the United Stated, I have served as an intermediate between English and Vietnamese for my parents. Regardless of whether the conversations are lengthy or easy to understand, I still translate the information to the best of my ability. Sometimes it is hard for them to remember the translation of a word due to their old age, but I am always there when needed.
The Supreme Court made many significant changes that, both positively and negatively, impacted the struggle for civil rights for African Americans between 1890 and 1990. Despite this, many significant individuals such as Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, and organisations such as the NAACP and the SNCC also made many significant impacts in raising awareness for the Civil Rights Movement. Additionally, the role of Presidents and their policies, for example, Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) and his New Deal, had a significant impact on African Americans. Throughout the ‘American Century’ from 1890 to 1990, the Supreme Court was at the forefront of the struggle for civil rights. The rulings of Plessy v. Ferguson and Brown v. Board led some to believe
Then when we were in New York we visited Central Park and Times Square. I always wanted to visit New York and I finally did. Going on that trip was an important part of my life because I made many memories with my best friend, saw a lot of our history, and traveled across the United States. My best friend and I always go back to those memories, by seeing our history I was able to relate more and go back to it when learning about it in eighth grade history, and by going all the way on the other side of the United States I learned that I enjoy traveling and I would like to do it
When my mom and dad told me, my brother Timmy and Jimmy that are twins and my little sister Molly that we were going on a trip I freaked out I was so excited but they would not tell us where we are going. Mom said that grandma was coming, I was upset but i was not going to let that ruin my trip. I asked my mom if Skippy, my dog, could come and she said yes I was very happy. We loaded the car and we took the canoe so that gave me a hint of where we are going. We drive off.

A Day at Disney World In April of 2010, my dad, mom, and I traveled to Orlando, Florida. We stayed there for about a little over a week and it was so much fun. On one of the Wednesdays we were there we started off the day by going to Walt Disney World. We began by going through security, which nobody likes because it takes a little time out of your day, but it keeps everyone safe so it is an appreciable thing.
Everyone has a favorite trip that brings back great memories. My trip to North Dakota is one of my all-time favorites. On the way there it was fine what I mean like is no accidents like flat tire, no gasoline problems and all that kind of stuff. When I was about to pack up I felt like there is going to be a problem coming back from North Dakota and we did. On the way back just about to enter freedom we almost hit a big buck, it almost looked like a 9 pointer to me, but my dad it was a 8 pointer.
It was my first time ever visiting Disneyland. While we were waiting for the ferry my stomach felt like it was was upside down. I felt sick. I had never had a feeling like this. It was the most exciting moment of my entire life.
