I went from geometry straight to Pre Calculus skipping Algebra II. I knew coming into this class that it would be unbelievable hard. Every person in my class that signed up to skip a year of math had a personal talk with the teacher who told us that he does not recommend anyone to skip any year of a subject, especially math. To take Pre Calculus as a Junior we were required to take Math Tutorial, a class that was solely devoted to helping us with the difficult math. I knew I wanted to take this class, I have been particularly good up until now at math
A time when I was faced with a significant challenge, but learned to overcome it was sophomore and junior year in history. History has always seem to be the class I tend to struggle in, no matter who I sit next to or how many notes I take. Sophomore as time when on to second semester I realized I wasn’t doing well; I was procrastinating with homework, not doing well on test, and stated to pay less attention in class. I got a D for the first semester and when I saw that on my report card I knew I had to change something. I realized history need to become a much higher priority.
Yes, I have been through some very grueling times, like when I had a 58 in science after being absent for just two days! When I was presented with that problem, I studied very diligently, I re-watched all of my platitudinous lectures over and over again. I was determined to bring my grade up. I spent abounding hours (which felt like days) studying, improving my skills and working to come out on top. Finally, all my hard work got me to where I wanted to be.
If I were the person that I used to be back in high school, or even directly after high school, I would fail these classes with straight “F”s. The reason is not because I was not smart enough, but because I was not willing to put in the effort, concentration, and dedication needed to get a good grade. This is hard work! Good thing I decided to grow up a bit in the past 14 years so I take it seriously.
I was upset for some time, considering dropping the course altogether, but after some scrutiny, I acknowledged that giving up would not solve my problems, only allow them to follow me into my college career. My goal is to be a chemical engineer, and if I thought I could do that without understanding calculus, I would never get to live my dream. I took the failing grade as a motivation to do better next time; I put more effort into studying and practicing, even when work was not assigned, and I was miraculously able to earn an A for my semester grade, and a passing score on my AP exam. As cliche as it may sound, the failure helped me by motivating me.
Many choices, a lot of responsibilities and nevertheless the consequences. The one thing that jumps out on me when i think about life in the future is that i want to be successful. Its either you 're eager to learn or dumm away with something you 're not interested in. Who i want to be, it 's not going to take two years or so, i probably won 't accomplished who i want to be in such little years i have yet to live, i want to make a difference. Die with my name still living.
Let’s move on. Moving to high school, this is where it becomes permanent. Between the ages of 13-17 I had figured out for certain who I was and what I wanted to become. So I did it. The first two years were a bit rocky, I’ll be honest.
I was up for the challenge for more. And when I entered high school, I thought that I would challenge myself early on and skip a full year of algebra, right into geometry. I was actually doing really well in the class. The content was easy and understanding it was just as simplistic as I had expected. While this did not hold true to AP Environmental Science at the time, the class nonetheless turned out to be a lot more fun and less intimidating than what the title "AP" had suggested, to which, I ended up getting an A in the class.

All of my high school years i 've wanted to be remembered and leave an impact on this school. I wanted to be involved and try my hardest in everything I do, and excel even more. I love this school and would not want to graduate from anywhere else, continuing my family tradition. I have been a participant in track, show choir and also band.
My junior year was especially significant to me. I was off to a great start - I was doing well in my classes, and competing strongly on the cross country team. I had just finished a race with my fastest time, which qualified me for the varsity team. The same week as that qualifying race, I fell and I got a concussion. As a result, I had to take 2 weeks off from school and stop running while I recovered.
Graduating High School A day I will never forget was the day that I graduated high school. All the emotions were overwhelming and hard to handle sometimes. It was hard to accept that one of the biggest chapters in my life was about to be over and I was about to start an even bigger one.

Life after High School for many students can be a confusing and difficult time. There are many options one could take after obtaining a High School diploma, such as pursuing higher education for a degree, exploring alternatives to education during a “gap year,” or entering the workforce immediately after High School. My personal individual plans for life after High School consist of attending college and pursuing a degree in Psychiatry. First of all, there have been influences in my personal life that have led to my decision of pursuing college right after High School. A personal influence of mine is my own personal struggles with clinical depression for over four years, this detail of my life has caused me to believe that I should make something of myself and do good for those who have suffered like myself.
