“Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)” by Sly and the Family Stone was a crossover of San Francisco hippie culture and heavy funk. The fusion of the two genres established the song’s rhythm, or in other words “groove” because the song was formatted over a riff in the bass that kept playing over and over again. Stevie Wonder utilized his vocal range to consistently switch back and forth between soft spoken sections and powerful spoken sections in the song. It made his performance a lot more sentimental and soulful.
Once upon a time when I was 8 years old. It was a pitch-black night with bone-chilling winds. I went to an horrifying Haunted House In Los Angeles California where the people say it’s the most paranormal haunted house in the city. Right when I went in, there where people gripping my arm and glaring at me and all of a sudden, boom someone grabbed my legs and a disturbing mortals with the most nerve racking costume crawled on me. I went screaming out and crying with a terrified look on my face.
As a was running down the hallway I heard footsteps and I turn into a classroom that was big as two rooms put together. The room was not filled with joy it was a whole nightmare, all you could see was a light switch that was glowing at the top of of the stair case, so I went up there to turn it on and I saw peple without mask they where screming my name and i knew that was my friends they where going into a trap and it was a net at the end of the hallway. I ran after them “waspppppp” the sound of the net scared me and my friends where smart enought no to go in there and something set it off I do know what did nut i was out so i whould not get
Mckenna, I too wrote about the mindless monster and the negative effects it can have on someone. It's crazy to think about the lengths people will go to please someone and will overwork themselves to make sure others are happy. I believe that the only way to be truly happy is to make sure you're good first. The other aspect I agree with was your point on body language. That is something I need to work on a lot as well.
When i went up the stairs EVERY single stair had a hole in them, when I got upstairs a HUGE piece of sharp wood fell from the ceiling and I ran! I went in the basement and then I heard nothing and then all the sudden somebody or something was coming down the stairs! I broke the window with a axe and I cut my leg open when I crawled out the wind and when I got out I ran four there and a half miles without stopping. I ditched Barry and john, because I was TERRIFIED!
I so badly wanted to scream “mom help”! But I was afraid the tiger or monster would eat me! I would die! The light stopped shining and the growling started again and she went to bed.
My grandfather catches me and puts his hand on my back and, I turn around and he yanks me by the arm, and I go out in town. While the i’m at town I saw a girl and I also saw the girl get scared, because there were people like bullies scaring her. Also while I am in town there is a scary man with balloons. Then I saw a scary wolf in a window and what happened was I accidently bumped into a man with a gun and, he yanks me by the shirt and slams me into a wall bumps me into a garbage can
“I was walking home and saw a figure walking towards me; it was dark so I didn’t think about it. When the person got closer I noticed he was in a clown costume head to toe, and had a mask on. Being terrified of clowns I turned around and ran for what I thought was my life. I was screaming and shouting for help
I begin to get frightened as I turn the corner to a fogged out jail, seeing prisoners banging on the cells, and trying to touch us, but as I turn the next corner, a prisoner comes out of nowhere, and scares me out of my shoes. I fell straight to the ground in shock. My heart suddenly just dropped in fear. My parents began to start laughing hysterically because of my fear. Thankfully, I was able to make it out alive and well, but I was definitely shaken up.
Trapped in the creepy theater One halloween night my friend josh and I went to the movie theater. When josh had to leave to go home everything went quiet. I noticed I was alone in a movie theater. So I checked out the place and there were no one working no one watching movies. so I went back to the room where we was watching the movie.
It was a dark and stormy night. I was laying on the couch watching a scary movie on the TV, its radiant light lit up the room. I was just about to fall asleep when I heard a clamorous sound come from the basement. I jumped from my position on the couch and ran to the basement door. My mouth started to taste foul as my body filled with fear.
As I journey closer, a blanket of defeat hovers around me. Confidence is no issue on the outside, for I must portray a courageous front for my enemies. My insides slowly experience a strong sensation of dread and uncertainty as I travel through this menacing land. A body of blood like liquid drifts between trenches. The ground, swallowing my feet at every step.
When I recently rummaged through my clothes, I noticed a t-shirt I bought online a couple of years ago. The concept was simple: a yellow shirt with a girl 's sock placed on the left shoulder. After I looked at that shirt, questions kept coming to me. Why did I own this shirt? What made it so special to me?
“Sara! Are you ok, please stop messing with me.” I still thought she was playing around but her scream sounded pretty serious. Running into the house I noticed that it wasn’t scary, it looked exactly like my home. As I was walking through everything looked the same as it did in my house.
Fighting Monsters Everybody has a monster they are fighting with, whether it is internal or external. My monster is internal; I am fighting being lazy. This is something that kills me because it causes me to get nothing done. It has affected my school, work as well as, my personal life.
