Hunting is fun for some people, until you're being hunted. “The most dangerous game” is a short story written by Richard Connell. Zaroff demonstrates that he is confident, anxious, talented. First Zaroff is a very rich individual, i know he is talented because on ( pg.221) Rainsford was describing how big and nice zaroff house was “It was a huge, beam-ceilinged bedroom with a canopied bed enough for six men that Rainsford followed the silent giant.” Another way Zaroff is very rich because he also has his own island where he hunts more than just animals.
It was difficult advising her on how to handle the situation. The previous year, I only worked with this teacher four periods a week, as she had both 6th and 7th grade students. Her schedule did not allow her to be with the special education students in my room, since I had the aide to work with them in my classes. Mr. Allison, I know you are aware of the situation and without going into detail, this made my job as mentor to Amy very difficult.
Throughout middle school and my first 2 years in high school, I’ve gotten mainly As in my classes with an occasional B here and there. So in my junior year of high school, when I heard that I can take more than 1 AP course, I immediately wanted to challenge myself. I registered for 4 AP courses along with orchestra, and spanish on top of my extracurriculars. “Are you trying to kill yourself?” is what all my friends asked when I told them about my plan.
In the past, I was the treasurer for my high school’s DECA club and I was also in charge of running my high school’s store. Last winter I became part of Merrimack’s Orientation staff, which I believe shows student leadership because I was responsible for helping the incoming freshmen acclimate to college and become responsible individuals. Being an Orientation staff member required a lot of professionalism because we were in charge of making sure we were always on time for events and respectful to the presenters and each other. Last spring, I was hired at Shaw’s Supermarket and I have recently been promoted to work in the Customer Service Desk. I believe my position shows leadership outside of campus because I am responsible for making sure
I first started thinking about college seriously two years ago. Last year was when I first heard about your college, Dallas Baptist University. It sounded too good to be true. A college close to my home, I could drive home every other weekend. You have good programs and degrees based off of my career interests.
While I was getting my students’ work from my Sub Box, she mentioned she needed my roster because she was going to call parents. I open the sub-notebook and told her it’s not up to date because I have some new students and I couldn’t print. Then, she mentioned, “No really, what are you going to do about your students.” I asked, “What?” She commenced to state which students needed to leave my class as they came
Next year at Embry-Riddle I plan start studying Cyber Intelligence and Security. Ever since middle school I knew I had a developing interest in the field of computer science and spent most of my time building the skills to excel in my classes. One of the first projects I got to use the computer on was a video for the Oregon Trail. I decided that it would be best to design an advertisement to showcase the facts in a new and creative way. When my group turned the project in, and it was shown to the class my teacher rewrote the assignment according to what we did and used it as an example of great work when recruiting new people.
I’m student in Savanna high school, in the 12th grade will be graduating this year and getting my high school diploma. I spent the last three years of high school in different high school outside the U.S. Savanna high school is the first school I attended here in the U.S. I experienced different teaching methods and their was changes in each high school which brought challenges with advantages and disadvantages. I use to take 12 subjects in a year in my previous school while here in savanna I take 6 but they are technology based which i didn’t have that advantage back there.
My body cried like a newborn babe, afraid in an unfamiliar place. Immediately, my fresh eyes were greeted by waves of black hair, friendly smiles, and the Japanese language. I had arrived in Japan. I did not know the language or the customs, but I dove right into the dark pool. I was determined not to let the unknown drown me.
This year, I applied to be a teacher's assistant with my favorite AP teacher, thinking it would be an easy credit. Little did I know, it would turn out to be an important learning experience for myself. The first week of school our conversations consisted of casual small talk. As time progressed I started to open up to him about problems in my life; my parents recent divorce, my long term depression, and my obsession with my grades. My teacher sympathized with me, telling me his own struggles growing up with his parent's divorce, his battles mental illness, and his poor grades.
Sometimes people are born where they are not wanted. For these children life just always seems to be a big wait, waiting to turn eighteen, waiting to finish high school, and while you wait for life to throw you a bone a feeling of uncertainty starts to creep up on you. Waking up everyday to do the same thing and you get so tired you don 't want to wake up anymore. This is how every day start and ends for me. Some activities, like jogging or reading, can ebb this feeling to a degree where it seems bearable; but it wasn 't until I filled out Boston Universities college application that I felt something new, this feeling I identify with hope.
Getting to know someone who is much older than you can be very rewarding. They give you plenty of life advice and tell you their own life experiences. Our elders are always full of wisdom which is why we should take the time out to get to know our elders around us. I interviewed my co-worker named Shawn she just recently retired but I still make sure to maintain contact with my former co-worker.
Interviewing a Professor Going into the meeting I felt pretty good about it. I had my set of preplanned questions and I also had a common interest with my professor. Dr. Martens is the lady I decided to interview. I chose to interview her because she teaches one of my Political Science classes.
The first half of this semester was swift and I can’t believe how fast it passed by. College is a whole new world for me that I had never imagined with a lot of new experiences that I hope will shift me into a better and smarter person. There are more things I can do in college that I would have never dared to do in high school and I am happy for these new freedoms. I am able to eat in class, leave class without asking and they don’t care if I pay attention or not. My high school teachers would always tell me to wait for the bell, sometimes would not let me leave and if I did not pay attention they would yell.
“Primary teaching is an immensely complicated business. It involves the interplay of so many elements, including interpersonal, intellectual, physical, spiritual even aesthetic dimensions” (Richards, 2014, p.8). Primary teachers must demonstrate a variation of personal traits which children can therefore connect with and feel a sense of understanding between themselves and the teacher. Within this assignment the focus will be on the qualities and attributes which I as teacher aspire to develop in order to create my own personal teacher identity. The three attributes that will be discussed are; enthusiasm, organisation and patience, as I believe they are extremely important to be successful.
