Then during the last week of July we booked a trip to Dollywood! We got really lucky with our reservations because all of the Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg hotels were booked. There was only one hotel we could get and it was in Kodak. It's about 10 miles from Pigeon Forge. Whenever we go to Tennesse on vacation it's usually never that crowded.
My best pecan fest was this year when I was in 6th grade. All my friends and I did was ride the zipper until it closed and we were the only once in the cart of the zipper. When I was in the line for the zipper with autumn this people through snap and pops at us and they hurt. When we got on the zipper and it started going they tried to throw it up at us in the zipper cart, and one actually came in our cart put it didn’t pop. When we got off the zipper they were still there and they didn’t through it at us this time because we ran away to a different ride.
Meet my Jazz band. This is a picture of us in New Orleans my junior year during spring break to play Jazz. I decided upon this picture because this band has had such a profound impact on how I frame my future. My connection with music through the piano has been fostered ever since I could reach those shiny black and white collection of keys. Starting at the age of four, playing the classical music of Mozart and Bach was what my musical background was founded upon, with tangible medals and accomplishments as achievements.

My first experience at the Carolina Country Music Fest was extraordinary. It all started Friday after my friends and I unpacked our stuff at the hotel. After we brief catching up we departed to the Carolina Country Music Fest. During the walk our anticipation grew; Keith Urban was going to plan in less than an hour! As we arrived to the venue, our wrist bands were scanned and we rushed to the stage.
I smelled all of the amusement park food, and felt sick. The day was boiling hot, and when we buckled into the roller coaster, I heard the operator, who looked like he was sweating a river, say that this roller coaster was 62 years old. That just made me even more terrified. As we were waiting, and I was talking to my cousin, the operator suddenly pushed the button.
Just when we got up close to the front my heart started beating a mile a minute. I was scared, I wanted to go back and not do this. Though I knew waiting 2 ½ hours couldn’t be for nothing so I rode the coaster. It was extremely fun and fast. I loved
Everyone was so excited except for me. We went to a roller coaster. I told my mom that I was scared but she told me to try it and I did. And now I’m not scared of roller coasters anymore.
This summer I had so much fun doing outdoor activities. On a birthday trip to Pigeon Forge, TN, with my family, we did a ropes course, went zip lining, and went rafting. Doing all those activities in one day filled me with excitement and fear at the same time. At the end of the day, I was tired but happy!
Baseball is what many call “America’s Pastime”. It is the game that never fails to bring me from the highest highs to the lowest lows. The second that you think you are the best, the game will humble you. When you are at a loss for confidence, you will do something amazing that will turn your game around. Nothing beats the smell of the spring air, the dirty pants, the laughs with teammates and the glory of winning.
We started that jam-packed day with the Batman rollercoaster. The coaster was amazing with its numerous loops, twists, drops, and confrontational speeds. Coasters have never bothered me with heights. After enduring quite a few of rides, it was almost the end of our day. We made our way into the last section of the park and there it was: the most horrific ride of them all.
One of the actors grabbed me and threw me down a slide that was pitch black and did some twists and turns, I ended up a few people behind my friends so I had to catch up with them, which didn’t please me. The next three were definitely the best ones, but still not scary. One of the attractions you had to wear 3D glasses and it made the walk through a little more challenging to get through. By the end of the sixth one you’re finally enjoying being in this haunted prison and it just ends on you…. You walk out to the snack stands and everyone is curious where they need to go to get to the next attraction but then it hits you, its over.
I consider myself to lean fairly liberal on almost all issues. By fault of my generation or birthplace or the media I regularly consume, I have become a democrat, through and through. Yet this summer, I found myself racing across the Iowa State Fair in search of the antithesis of all things progressive: Donald Trump. My mother grew up in Iowa, and I’ve spent almost every summer creek stomping and biking around the corn capital of the world.
