Perhaps my greatest strength in Domain 4 is component 4a, reflecting on teaching. I am most proud of this strength because it has help me in all domains as an educator. As a teacher, I am always striving to make my classroom better for students. I am consistently looking for new strategies and resources to make my classroom current, vibrant and interesting. I see the value of reflection that I pass these opportunities along to my students. As evident of both post-observations, I am always coming up with new and better ideas for improve lessons and units of study. Another area of strength in Domain 4 is component 4d, growing and developing professionally. Throughout this year, I have had the opportunity to have contact with colleagues through instructional coaching, literacy cohort, instructional rounds and professional development opportunity at District 207. throughout these opportunities i have been an active participant by asking questions, seeking feedback and presenting instructional strategies. I feel that I do a great job as case manager contacting parents through email and by phone to give updates on their son or daughter. I have also sent information home to parents about upcoming projects and lessons we were doing in class. I am hesitant to invite parents into my Edmodo site where the parent can see all the information the students can. I plan on seeking feedback from colleagues and will decide the next time a semester begins, whether or not to include parents on my classroom website Edmodo.
