I believe I choose efficient materials to help support this lesson. In particular, my anticipatory set included a power point that focused on explaining how we draw conclusions. The students really seemed to enjoy the interactive portion of the presentation where they got to use the clues and their outside knowledge to come up with what the animal or object was. Additionally, I thought my choice of literature, “Town Mouse Country Mouse” by Jan Brett, gave the students a wide variety of situations or specific characters to draw conclusions about.

As the students have not had a chance to complete this activity I cannot accurately assess the success of this activity.

I did not receive a lot of feedback for this lesson as Ms. Esminger was out attending an honors convention at St. John. Although, during preparation for this lesson we did talk about how to get the students to comprehend drawing conclusions by giving simple examples before building up to something more complex.
When conferencing with Professor Longo, she mentioned the strengths I exhibited during this lesson included being well prepared and organized. Additional strengths included having a very good anticipatory set activity and good questions that related to the objective. One suggestion made was to practice reading the story out loud to gage the parts I might have difficulty with.
