I interviewed a general education teacher, a special education teacher, and a parent that all have ties to one student. The purpose of interviewing the general education teacher is to gain a better understanding of what education and the process of education within the general education classroom is like. Additionally, the view points of the special education teacher are also important as they work with students on a different level than that of the general education teacher. Finally, the purpose of interviewing a parent is to understand from the family perspective what education means to them and what is important to them. Through these interviews I hope to gain valuable information that will help me to better connect with the various people in my future student’s lives and provide for a positive educational experience for all parties involved.

The first question I asked was what she believes to be the most important thing to remember when working with young children and families? She replied, revealed “children are very special.
