While reviewing my first memo the three main issues that I saw was the unnecessary use of verbiage, ineffective use of transitions between sentences and paragraphs, and remembering to completely flesh out each test in the rule proof. The most helpful thing I can do in to help myself is just to reread my paper multiple times and even maybe have my peers to look at my paper with fresh eyes. Being concise and to the point is clearly my biggest problem. I have started to edit my paper down multiple times on different days to cut down my extremely long and over complicated sentences. I also think that if I go sentence by sentence then it will be easier for me to cut down on the words that are not needed for the sentence to make sense.
I have been doing some thinking about our conversation a few days ago and have concluded that I will take you up on the offer! I just sold my old bike and now have some money left over that I can use to pay for those seminars. I am going to see how soon I can get this done, I am going to look at the dates and send my form in. I will keep you posted on the status of things as they get processed.
Having my high school at the AP program established under SCNU was always one of my luckiest things happened to me. At here, I was trained to be priorly familiar with the U.S. education system and successful after coming to the U.S. where all the students were supposed to go. In order to be prepared, I was trained to write different kinds of essays, including laboratory report, social science research paper and literature expository writing. I have started to write all these kinds of essays since grade 10, and every writing assignment has gone through the process of outlining, drafting, peer proofreading and editing. At college, my writing style hasn’t really changed, yet, the way I write an essay has changed.
Three Important Events Revision In my thirteen years of living on this planet, I have had some important events in my life that turned into a good ending. Some of those things include getting a new pet, traveling across the country, and being in the parade. All of these events had some impact on my life. The first important event in my life that I can think of happened four years ago in fifth grade.
On many levels my style of writing has changed, I believe that I have got a lot better in my writing. It’s still very clear that I have a lot of areas that I need to work on. At first, I couldn’t actually believe the grade that I received on my diagnostic essay, that grade gave me hope that I would be able to past this class. Overall, I believe that I have improved or changed in these areas, writing in a style that clearly communicates meaning, builds credibility, and inspires belief or action, developing ideas and synthesize primary and secondary sources within focused academic arguments, including one or more research- based essays, and formulating a thesis and argument appropriate for an academic audience that analyzes literature and/or
Through years of writing and learning how to improve, my style has been molded by not just writing words and facts, but also not write just opinions and two sides. I put my personality into my writing by, adding hints of my own justifications and commentary. Leading me to consider it a persuasive style, (literarydevices.net) writing ideas and facts all together yet getting my point across without specifically stating it. Thinking about it we just read Jon Krakauer, he gives facts and others opinion in multiple chapters but then inputs his own information and feelings towards Chris using persuasion, I like to balance my writing like that as well.

As a "writer" I 've found my writing style to be more of a put together flourish of words and thoughts that in another 's opinion might seem like it never left the drafting stage (besides the few grammatical edits and big words to make it seem like it was written by someone smart). I went through a stage of writing in purely second person, and because of that I lost the ability to respect the need of more emotional descriptiveness. I 've gotten embarrassed to write in that context and end up passing it up for more serious tones that just don 't get my writing anywhere extraordinary. I want to gain confidence in my writing so I can go the places I want to go with it, while also learning to keep it organized and in line with my exact thoughts. My thoughts seem to provide a more well-laid out idea than my actual writing does.
After I acknowledged that one of my weaknesses when writing was grammar; I made sure to focus entirely on it so that I could ameliorate my writing skills. My history as a writer has been a bit of a struggle of slow development. From a young age I had a hard time with spelling and this is still a trouble area for me, even with the help of autocorrect. As I grew in age and as a writer my problematic area became not including enough nitty gritty details. My bad experiences that I recall would always involve the start of writing because I struggle with beginning paragraphs. Also, I tend to use the ending paragraph to just repeat myself, so overall my first and last paragraphs are usually shit.
I started reading from a very early age, perhaps the age of four or five. The first book that changed my life was the Charlotte’s Web as it initiated me into the world of reading and inspired me to be the book worm I am today. Books were my best friends during my childhood and I devoured all the books from my dad’s library. He was more than happy to get me all the books I asked for. My father got me some post cards to write letters to my friends and relatives as a method to improve my handwriting.
Dear Diary, Its been about 3 months since I have moved to Iowa City. Moving here was probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have so many new friends Mica and I are still great friends. I made the baseball team and I am the best player on the team, our record is 10-1 and on our way to the conference championship.
My feelings toward writing aren 't good nor bad. Writing is something i have had difficulty with in my past. I have no problem brainstorming ideas on what topics to write my assignments on, even if i am given a prompt, but I do have difficulty with sitting down and planning my work. I always find myself getting stuck. So I almost never take the time out to plan out my ideas i come up with.
Overworked. That’s the closest word that I could use to describe this week. I feel like this journal is going to be about me just bickering, yet there is some stuff you might want to read about. First of all, I have been sleeping three hours this week because of upcoming midterms, quizzes, and assignments due. I am sleep deprived and mentally drained and as my second year in college I have never had my life drained out of my body like a passing shadow.
