The seven principles of organization are harmony, variety, balance, proportion, dominance, movement, and economy. The art museum that I went to was the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The galleries that I visited was the Broad Contemporary Art, AIhamnson Building, and The Art of the Americas Building. The artworks that I saw that had the principles of organization were “Construction (Untitled)” by George Grosz, “Mulholland Drive: The Road to the Studio” by David Hockney, and “Flower Day” by Diego Rivera. The principles that I saw in these artworks are proportion, movement, and dominance. The first artwork that I saw was “Construction (Untitled)” by George Grosz. The artwork was made by oil on a canvas. The principle that is used in this artwork is proportion. Proportion is a size of an object compared to another object. This artwork has proportion because there are different sizes of parts in the artwork. The relationship between the building and the human in the front of the building is significant. The artwork that had movement was “The Mulholland Drive: The Road to the Studio” by David Hockney. This artwork had movement because the artwork showed the start and the end of the road or pathway. When I looked at this artwork I followed the pathway to see where it would take me. The road or pathway signifies movement. This road took me on a trip to the end of the road. This road is surrounded by trees, electricity towers, crops, and hills. The road starts at a tree then continues on to hill in the back. This artwork signifies movement because the artist portrays roadways where there are hills. The roadways pass by uphills and downhills. This conveys a wavy and smooth movement. It is a smooth movement because the road that starts from the tree to the hills smooth and straight toward the hills. The hills make it a wavy
