Rafiqa Hassan arrived in Australia, 2006. In an attempt to escape the horror attaches in Afghanistan. The constant bombing, no education, and unequal right comparing women to men were falling. It was time to leave, for good. They decided to flea their home country couldn’t return due to fear of persecution when they cross borders and seek safety in another country. Persecution, conflict, violence and war were getting higher every minute. Australia has one of the best refugee resettlement programs in the world and is surrounded by oceans. Rafiqa’s dad took the risk of travelling by a boat. Taking risks in open ocean and on poor quality boats and in crowded conditions only to get to Australia in hope of finding a better place.

Rafiqa was 8 years old when she went to Renmark junior primary school, she had a lot of difficulties at school and the challenges for as well the first call was that she couldn’t speak English and she felt like people were the staring at her and she got more nerves. When the teacher was showing her around the school she was happy but when her sister left her, she starts crying, she thought that her sister is living her in this world alone. But few years letter she was so great full for her life in Australia and she proved that no matter what happens she will never give up in her life and she will make her dreams came true. If Rafiqa’s dad didn 't take the decision to come to Australia would she have this better life in Australia? Rafiqa said “if my dad didn 't make this decision to come to Australia my life will be really bad in Afghanistan and I wouldn’t have an education. After all the struggles that she has gone through Rafiqa is now bold and brave, and she takes every opportunity that is open to her, to make her and her family’s life better. Despite the worries and struggles Rafiqa is always joking around and making everyone
