It was twenty minutes until 10 o’clock. I was getting ready to lie down. My phone rings and the next thing I know, I was rushing out the door with the fully stocked diaper bag in my hand. I had received a phone call that Jazmine was on her way to the hospital because her contractions were coming sooner and a lot more forceful. As I pulled up to the hospital; consequently, I quickly found an empty parking spot and dashed in. I immediately looked for the “The Baby Place” and searched for room 602. I darted in and there was Jazmine being attended by a nurse that was wrapping her whopping belly with all these strange looking apparatuses. I started to backtrack to the very first day that we found out and it all began to play in my head like a motion picture film. I had so many thoughts running through my head, but I remained calm as a butterfly fluttering in the air. I was lost in thought and I remember snapping back to reality as one of the nurses asked me, “aw, did you mean to wear pink today?” I looked down at my shirt and coincidentally, I was wearing a magenta V-neck and grey sweatpants. I replied, “no, but it sure is wonderful luck!” It was already midnight and the nurses would come check in every so often to make sure Jazmine’s vital signs were okay and that the baby’s heartbeat was beating
