CCIB received a SCAR/CPS referral #0306-4829-5973-3020047. The reporting party (RP) Ashley Shinn reports her son, Aedan Shinn (DOB: 01/10/12), attends the Reyes family Day Care Monday thru Friday. RP reports a couple of months ago, her son attempted to tell her how the licensee disciplines the children when they are not asleep during their nap time. RP states Aedan at first was going to tell her, but then said he would get in trouble for being bad. As recently as yesterday, Aedan finally disclosed to the RP that licensee when checking in on the children taking a nap and notices the children not sleep with their eyes closed she will hit them on top of the head with a closed fist.
The last classroom there was one caregiver Juanita O'Hair caring for four children ages 4 months to 7 months. One child was asleep in their porta crib, the caregiver was holding one child while feeding and other two were on floor playing with toys. The child who was asleep woke up and was immediately removed from the crib and placed on floor with other children. All rooms were measure at inspection as the director is wanting to spilt the infants into two room for older and younger infants. Bottles and cups in both infant rooms were labeled with child's name and no blankets were present in either
Throughout time, fear has been the number one thing that keeps people alive. Because people are scared, they run from predators in order to survive. The process of natural selection has ensured that those who are scared will live. The people who realize this can take advantage of it. Two prime examples are Abigail Williams and Judy Johnson.
Interacting with nurses during deliveries sparked an old desire I had to go to nursing school. Every day on my drive home a passed school and won day noticed the sign stating that they now offered an LPN program in the evening. Evening courses were appealing because I was raising three teenagers and their father would be home at night so I could be at school and not
Infants were also in trouble due
My Observation Summary In the video from Pals Daycare, I observed three infants who were sitting on the floor and the teacher was sitting next to them. Each baby were holding wooden blocks or sticks, and the teacher was holding and empty jug and was trying to get the babies to put the blocks/sticks into the opening of the jug. Two of the babies did not seem to understand what to do with the blocks/sticks. They did not try to put them into the jug, but the third baby seemed to understand a little, and he did put it in the opening of the jug but did not understand to drop it into the jug.
Thank you for calling and explaining how you operate at Country Sunshine Daycare, but if you could clarify a few items for me. Admittedly it is a bit confusing to reconcile your policy of Not informing parents when there are acts of physical and mental Bullying against/or by a child with the opening statement of your website (i.e. It is the mission of Country Sunshine Children’s Center to provide SAFE, loving and Nurturing environment). I am aware of At Least Two acts of physical harm committed against Chanelle, at least one act of verbal racial bullying, and multiple acts of verbal taunts that would qualify as inappropriate; to say the least. All of the aforementioned acts you Failed to notify me And failed to notify the parents of the
This group member was a bit confused and didn’t follow the steps arrangement. He sometime forgot to support the baby’s head and holding the baby gently and softly. He didn’t pay the attention to the hygiene and started nappy changing on the cloths instead of changing sheet. He also putted the dirty nappy near to baby instead of keeping it away from baby. • SAMEER –
In this essay I will be considering how innovations in theory, policy and research have influenced the development of coordination, partnership and integration in childhood practice in my childcare setting in Scotland. I will analyse the development of policies concerning children and young people in relation to my setting and the professional groups involved within my setting. This will include the introduction of building the ambition and the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, which from 2016 will enforce the need for the named person to take any concerns seriously and report as required. It will also increase provision to 600 hours which in turn will help to safeguard vulnerable two year olds by placing them into early year’s
My biological family was a wreck. My mom and grandfather both had drinking problems and my mom had been a drug addict. I pretty much never saw my mom and even if she was around her deadbeat boyfriend wasn’t far behind. From what I could see, he was a troublemaker. I didn’t have the support, love or care that a child needs to grow up to their full potential, someone saw the danger of me and my siblings being there and removed us.
Throughout my time at Suffolk Community College, I have done a lot of observations and many hours of student teaching between the ages 4-7 years old. So, walking into an infant classroom for an observation was a first-time thing for me. The infant room was full of a lot of wooden furniture (example: cabinets, changing table, cribs, shelves etc.) and the walls are painted an eggshell white. The instant I walked into the entrance of the room near the door, right hand side there was a kitchen, with a sink, baby formula, utensils, baby bottles and sippy cups.
On 10/16/2015 an unannounced inspection was conducted, I was greeted by Theresa the receptionist who contacted Linda Young, Person in charge. Ms. Young arrived about 2 minutes later, I handed Ms. Young my business card and stated my purpose of the visit and explained what documentation I would need to complete the investigation. A complete walk through of classrooms and playgrounds including the Wellness Trail where incident occured was conducted. In the infant building there are 4 classrooms, which 3 are being occupied at this time. In classroom 1 of infant building Sue Ann Cozart was caring for 4 infants 7month-15 months.
I choose to view the video clip, Maggie Simpson in “The longest Daycare”. There are some entertaining pieces in the clip one being in the beginning when they test Maggie’s intelligence with the equipment manufactured by Often Wrong Technologies and going through the security check in the beginning. However, the video reveals how society often views people’s intelligence without often knowing how smart that person maybe. Maggie shows her intelligence when she encounters her first case of bullying.
Introduction: I observed at Kindercare Daycare located at 800 S. Arlington Heights Rd. Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. I was observing the Preschool and kindergarten classroom. The children’s ages ranged from three to five years old. There was at the most twenty children in the room that I observed in, and one staff member per classroom.
Work with children Throughout my high school and college years, I have had several experiences with children that have all played a part in shaping my love for working with children. During high school, I spent two summers nannying for two young school aged children. Working with these siblings really made me realize how much fun I have working with children and watching them grow. Once I came to college, I started another babysitting job working with two four year old twin girls.
