Another day at Fenway. The Boston Red Sox are trailing the Cincinnati Reds 4-1 and Mookie Betts (The Red Sox Right Fielder) comes to the bat for the first time tonight due to a sore arm. Bronson Arroyo (Reds Pitcher) throws a wicked curveball that is almost impossible to hit. But Mookie knew that this ball was long gone. Arroyo thought he was gonna strike out Mookie

There was the casino attorney and the university trustee. There was the business executive and the gastroenterologist. There was the “Statman,” as well as several other local business and professional leaders. And there was me.

We are the Canmore Avalanches. We qualified for these championships as the first team ever of Canmore to do so. Be proud! Thus, we have come together today to win the Canadian national championships, two months from now and return to our hometown as legends. My dear girls to achieve this goal, we will need to play better than we ever have.
I had a baseball game against the White Sox. When I got down there I found out I wasn’t pitching first, so I waited till it was my turn to pitch and when it finally happened it was 5-5 in the top of the 4th and I pitched a no-hitter. Finally it was the bottom of the 5th and still 5-5 and I came up to bat against Kaden Eugenio and he threw it right down the middle
The dust has settled. A week removed from my first trip to the Baseball Winter Meetings in Nashville, I am already looking forward to next years meetings in DC. There were no dull moments to be had at the Winter Wonderland, otherwise known as the Opryland Hotel. The energy in the air was palpable. Great baseball minds coming together to inform through workshops, honor those in the "family" and make moves to improve their teams.
I fell in love with the sport. Too bad its only for guys. My family tells me that I should do softball and I guess I will try it but it just wont be the same for me because I love baseball. The day I get to go to a Dodger game I will be super happy!!!
“Unfortunately, Jack, there will not be many opportunities for you this year.” Seconds after being told I had made the varsity baseball team, I did not expect my coach to so bluntly tell me I would be spending more time watching the game than playing it. Our state ranked team had a pitching staff full of Division 1 commitments and future MLB draft picks, and I was being told I did not measure up. The bench became my best friend.
I have been interested in baseball ever since I was three, I went to a cardinals game and I got a monkey. I know it sounds weird but they had a monkey with velcro hands and feet and I would hang him around my neck all the time. I still have the monkey today.
Harper’s first full year without injury came last year where the 23 year-old played in 153 games. The league found out fast that if you give the emerging superstar a full year, you can take the “emerging” part out of the equation and just call him a superstar. His 2015 season read like this; .330 avg, .460 OBP, .649 SLG, 42 HRs, 99 RBI and 38 doubles.
Last year, when I was in sixth grade, my family and I went to a baseball game at the Angels Stadium. It has become a recent tradition in my family to go to one game every year. The Angels are my family’s favorite team, specifically my father, so as you can imagine, he was very excited to go and see his favorite players in action. The stadium is in Phoenix, so when we arrived it was swelteringly hot.
In all ways I am a Pittsburgh sports fan. I am a die had Pittsburgh sports fan, whether it be Steelers, pirates, penguins, or Pitt panthers I ride or die with them. They affect my day if they win or lose, I grew up watching all of them as a kid and I am emotionally attached. Being a Pittsburgh sports fan definitely has its ups and downs. Like last year the wild card game for the pirates which I went to, we got shut down by the Cub’s pitcher and didn’t post one run the whole game.
I’ve been anticipating the season to start for about the last 5+ months. These past couple of months have been so boring cause I have been doing nothing but going to school. No sports for that long is awful so every time baseball comes around I 'm so ecstatic. So you know I have been counting down the days until the season. This year I was drafted to the diamondbacks, every year this league
I got in the last few minutes of the game. We were winning by around twenty points so there was no way we were going to lose. When I got the ball for the first time, I was in the three point line, and I decided to shoot. When the balls left my hand, the defender from the other team knocked me on to the floor. When I stood up, everyone was screaming.
