Wes knew that school was not for him and that he wanted to be a rapper or professional football player when he grew up. He rationalized himself saying that in the meantime he could make some serious money by dealing, not knowing the negative impact it would have on his life. “As he lay in bed, he realized how time seemed to stop when he was high, how the drug—smoking it, feeling its effects, recovering from it—made him forget everything else. And he understood, faintly, how addictive that feeling could be, and how easy it would be to make some money off selling that feeling to people who needed it.” (Moore 51).
“Timothy MacDonald,” Drusilla said to her fellow Ryanite Nightingale, “It’s a refreshing sight to be seeing you here.” “Thanks for the compliment,” he told her. “What do you have to report thus far?” she wondered. “Did your brother Henry wanted something to say to me, or are you here to speak with me?”
Well today my friends and I was issued a challenge, by a mysterious challenger. No one at my table was going to take the challenge , but I spoke up at the last moment. It was me.. All the challenge was to cut off his head and if he survived, he could do the same to you. Of course it was random
Rebels Without a Cause Not very many people have affected me in the same way as my friend Jake Fernholz. I have never realized the influence he has had on me until someone pointed out that we talk and think the same way. I only met Jake two years ago in track, when a pulled hamstring injury caused Mr. Kellerman to have me practice with the long distance kids. Mr. Kellerman forced me into staying on the long distance team and that is where I started to hit it off with Jake. It took me a long time to be comfortable with Jake, but when I did we quickly found our common interests.
I was the happiest man in the world. Red Chief was still missing and I have not any painful migraines ever since . I was so happy I even went out for dinner and got my favorite meal. After dinner, I thought I might as well have a late night drink and then off to bed. After I drank a little sweet whiskey I started to feel a little headache, but that's ok because there is no Red Chief and that means no migraines.
I was taking a midnight stroll enjoying the absence of red chief. In addition, at night the old town looked peaceful, especially with reed chier gone. I was as happy as a cat with a can of tuna. As i turned down the road where red chief used to live, I saw the worst thing i could possibly imagine, red chief himself on the porch to his father’s house. His father was standing at the open door with two men standing in front of him.
I really couldn't speculate on what other people are playing. I enjoy role playing games such as Zelda, my favorite all time game would be Diablo. I was so excited when they finally came out with Diablo 3. The kids like allot of different games which they play on the phone, computer, game system, also a small video game system they have which is called a 2 Ds. If I were to guess I would have to say role playing games would be the
The sirens went off on Dante’s fifteenth birthday. Dante was out baking under the merciless sun, training along side with the other children assigned to his sector. As always, his throat was parched, the harsh fabric of his shirt was digging into his skin and his hands we covered with blisters, but Dante persevered onwards; his hands shaking in fear of a harsh whipping. He steadied them and gripped tightly to his spear, leading the splintered pieces to bite into his rough hands. Suddenly, a cacophonous shrieking thundered across the fields.
Illuminated by the colors on the screen, I settle down on the worn out sofa. Popcorn and my dad’s cologne mix and mash with each other and create a distinct smell that still haunts me today. I leaned into my dad’s arms, his body heat makes my muscle relax, as my eyes glue to the screen. The buttery taste of popcorn fills in my mouth. My eight year old brain mixes up all of the characters names and faces in the movie, except one particular one.
I remember when my brother introduced me to Brother-to-Brother, an affinity group for men of color to create a community within themselves and get involved in the broader Nobles community. The group made me feel welcome and now as a senior, I try to be that same mentor to all the new kids. I enjoy connecting with the group through meaningful activities such as participating in the Walk For Hunger to raise money for hungry people. This group has played a big role in the success of my Nobles career and I hope to find a similar experience in college.
Knights of the Old Republic is one of my favourite games of all times. I can still remember the day I stumbled upon an Xbox magazine in a local shop and saw the game title and a picture of Malak and Bastila. I had been bored of Star Wars plots that revolve around Skywalkers; I was always vocal with friends and family about wanting a different plot. Knights of the Old Republic was a surprise that reawakened interest in the galaxy far far away: not only in terms of storytelling freshness but the way of exploring Star Wars. I've always wanted to belong in the Star Wars universe, being able to go through alien worlds with a group of powerful warriors was equivalent to a Rugrats adventure for me as a teenager.
Quite a while back I composed a section about "Wonderful Things. " If I recall effectively, the chief thing was "The Last Defender of Camelot" book recording by Roger Zelazny and read by "Odo" from "Profound Space Nine." Or perhaps you recollect that him better as the scornful Butler on "Benson." Notwithstanding how you recollect that him, Rene Auberjonois had the best perusing voice I have ever heard and holds that title right up 'til the present time. Nothing else thinks about.
“AHH!” i screamed as yet another ‘monster’ had popped up in my face. I hated this, I hated how i let my friends trick me into going in the haunted house that was at the fair. I flinched as yet another person dressed up to be something scary popped up in my face. i couldnt take this, i hate scary things.
Personal Dragons “Problems may only be avoided by exercising good judgement. Good judgement may only be gained by experiencing life’s problems.” Everyone encounters and struggles with problems in their lives that hold them back. They can be internal or external. Some of them require little effort and can be defeated easily, for example, The hero Beowulf easily defeating Grendel.
I figured I would save it for the next morning 's breakfast. So I went back to sleep. I awoke to the sound of gunshots. They rang long and long. A gang of bandits had been robbing us in our sleep.
