Living at the beginning of in 1920 was the best but don’t judge a book by it cover. Most people called it the roaring 20s. Improved technology brought more goods and farm products into the marketplace. The credit system helped me a lot. I bought a new house for my family and a washing machine. I felt like that was the best purchase of all my life. But for the farmers is was not the best time. They made so much food that they were losing money and not gaining it. The increased food supply created low food prices. Farmers had difficulty making ends meet with the low prices of food and high rates of debt for new motorized machinery. But I did not care if they were not making money all I cared about was the food was so much cheaper. Now I can feed all my 5 kids without being worried. …show more content…

I would goof around with my money because I had so much of it. Good thing there was the credit. A few weeks later I was listening on the radio and I heard some narker that depression so everyone was running to the banks. So that is what I did too. I got in my car and drove to the bank as fast as I can, but to my luck the bank only had 25 dollars left which was itsy-bitsey and that is all I got back. I did not know what to do so I went back home and I sat down and thought what to do to pay my credit. I wish president Hoover would do something, but he thinks that the people could find a way to get out of the depression. I think he could help the people and let the government give us jobs to pay our bill. We need the hoover to leave the presidential seat for someone who can help us, he was very stinkeroo. But we made the bed now we have to lie in
