Personal Narrative: The Guys From Ohio

The guys from Ohio are quite the group. They come up once a year and stay with my Uncle Buzz. He isn’t my real Uncle but is close enough to be one, so I just call him that. John is one of the four guys that come. He is the kind of guy where he needs to be proven wrong before he admits he is. He also really likes me and my brother. Then John has a son named Kevin. Kevin acts just like John in every way. He is very smart, but you really wouldn’t know it and is the head mechanic of a GMC dealership in Ohio. Clayton is the nicest man I know. There aren’t any mean bones in his body and he is very calm and relaxed about everything. Lastly there is Charlie. Charlie walks, talks, and looks exactly like Willy Nelson. We put up stands in about August so the deer get adjusted to them. Then about a week before the opener, we start to lay out our orange clothes out. Our guns are taken to the range to be sighted in and to familiarize ourselves with our guns again. Opening morning comes and we wake up early, have breakfast, put on our orange clothes, and then out the door to the stand with the rifle we went. We never do anything special or really out of the ordinary for hunting. Everybody has different opinions on how a normal life should be lived. Personally, I think a normal life is how you live your life. If you live like these guys, then you probably think this is normal. Compared to my family and friends, we have very different lifestyles. If I was told I couldn’t hunt some property, then that would be ok with me and I would look for another place. To other people, they might see a hunting ground as something very important and do almost anything to get it back. There are many deer camps around, but not quite like the way they explained their deer club to me. People 's lives depend on their interests and what others around them like to do.
