The Time I Met Darth Vader

It was an eerie halloween night, and my scrawny little arms were exhausted from carrying what seemed like 50 pounds of tootsie rolls. This particular year I was going as Yoda, a small preschool obsession of mine at the time. Anyhow, me and my mom were walking home, when something mysterious happened. I guess you could say it was, out of this world.

As we were just about home, a strange man walked up to us. He was in a full length Darth Vader costume, and I was immediately frightened. I didn’t want to go to the dark side! Smart is yoda, kidnapped yoda will not be.
“Happy Halloween” The man rumbled in a voice almost identical to the one in the movies.

I had closed my eyes at this point, And then something odd started to happen. My mom started to laugh! We were in danger of being captured by this evil creature, and she thought this was humorous! In addition to this, Darth Vader started to laugh,( it was more of a chuckle, but still!) I was puzzled. In the movies Darth Vader never laughed, and neither did his victims!

Eventually, that wicked man left. All the muscles that had been tensed up, relaxed. All the air that I had been holding in; came out in one big sigh. My face that had been as white as a ghost; regained its color. That was scary, a traumatic experience that I would never forget. I was still pondering why all of these things happened, but i could think about this later. There were other, more important things to think about. Such as what candy I could eat first, or what my next halloween costume would be.

So, now here I am writing a personal narrative about it, laughing about it. How ironic. Scrawny preschool little me would’ve definitely frowned upon
