Personal Narrative: Time Of Death

ID#513295 who entered the trailer to locate the body and declared time of death at 1934 hours. Roberts did not disturb the body, nor the scene. The deceased was later identified by his Florida Drivers License as William Gilley.

I spoke with the property managers Mike Kenny, and Brian Fannon. Kenny advised they received a call from Gilley's boss who grew concerned when he had called out sick and then did not show up for work on 10/22/15 when he was scheduled. Kenny, and Fannon went to conduct a well being check on Gilley. When they arrived at the home they used keys to enter the front door, Fannon found Gilley on the floor with the bathtub running. Fannon and Kenny backed out of the trailer, Fannon shut off the water at the pump outside of the home, while Kenny called the Melbourne Police Department to report the death. Monroe advised she last saw Gilley in his wheelchair along the roadway on 10/23/15 at 1610. Monroe advised Gilley seemed in good spirits and in decent health, however their conversation was short and in passing. Monroe was the last person to see Gilley alive or speak with him.

I spoke with Gilley's manager at his place of employment over the phone, Samantha Finlayson. Finlayson advised Gilley had called out sick on 10/19/15 and 10/20/15, and when he did not return to work or call in on 10/22/15 it caused alarm as it was out of character for Gilley.

Gilley was found inside his bathroom without any clothing on and it appeared he expired while on the toilet. Gilley recently had a foot amputated due to type 2 diabetes and needed a prosthetic foot or a wheelchair to move around, and both items were nowhere near Gilley or the bathroom. Due to these abnormalities a Crime Scene Technician as well as a Detective was called out to the scene to ensure no foul play had taken
