Honestly until I was told to write this paper, I never thought of my teaching objectives, after much reflection on what they are my main concerns are in the classroom. Being most eager to be involved in a profession where I can apply my own values and mold the next generation into something exceptionally productive. Believing truly significant qualities that I want to give to my students are these; I want to educate, encourage, and inspire. However, once I put some thought into it I would like to find an approach and method, of teaching used by others when teaching children with developmental disabilities. This is important because it is necessary that they feel adequate and equal not different or left out, if they feel left out they may not perform at their best. Also, if I notice things that both can do, they could be doing them in my classroom as well, so that they feel they are doing the same type of activity, as other children their age. Thus, creating a positive learning environment in the classroom. Not just because it is what one should do, but reason being some children only get any type of positivity in their lives at school. If a well-established environment is created in the classroom, the students will be able to have a positive connection with each other and myself. If they had no one else, they felt that they could go to in life; I would love to prove myself enough to become not only a teacher, but also a friend, and counselor. I want to be so optimistic that my students could come to me about anything and trust me enough to talk with me about whatever is bothering them. I want my students to be excited to step into the classroom, and feel as relaxed and safe as they can with themselves and with each other. If you are trying to hold, too much inside you will not be as proficient in school since your mind will always be thinking about something
