Saving the environment for future generations has been a controversy for many years. Some may say that global warming isn’t real and some say that the world is going to end. There are hundreds of organizations all over the world that protect our environment, all of the people that are part of these organizations have a need to help out. However, there are also hundreds of people that don’t believe in taking care of the environment. To me, nature is really important to me and I believe that every ecological system has some kind of value. Growing up to an indigenous family, nature has been one of our key factors of our beliefs. Reading books about rock formations and going to the forest to dig out rocks with my dad, I started to be really interested in science and nature itself. Years later, I started to notice how pollution is affecting the earth and how it was also affecting the forests where I grew up in Mexico. Last year in December, I went to Mexico with my parents and I saw how people from my tribe were protesting against the increase of deforestation in the forests. For a few years now anthropocentric companies have been given the power to go into our forests and cut down trees for their own usage. Knowing that people who live in the surrounding towns are compassionate towards the environment and the ecological systems that are present in their towns. However, this was a big example of tragedy of the commons because people (companies) were taking over public land that gave natural resources and was decreasing quickly of their resources. Growing up being exposed to nature, I believe that every ecological system has some kind of value and should be taken into consideration by humans and be taken care of from extinction. My experiences in these events has shaped my mentality to be more open minded of how
