I have a very diverse background to say the least. Born into a Nigerian household, raised in Dublin, Ireland, currently living in Texas. I can safely say that my environment has changed throughout the years. But wherever God has taken me in this journey called life, each place has shaped me in many different ways.
The environment anyone lives in can either break or make that person. I was raised in so many different cultures, surrounded by so many different people. Each environment I was around exposed me to different ways of living, thinking, and overall purpose of life. Like being raised in a Nigerian household can be grueling at times. African parents want nothing but the best for their kids. Which includes strict parenting, hard classes, support like no other, and most importantly love. This environment has made me work hard and never settle. Being raised in Dublin, Ireland sheltered me from the big bad world. I was raised with happiness, joy, and overall the tenderness of family. Being able to be myself without judgement has helped me appreciate myself. I have learned how to really love myself unconditionally, and be able to spread self love and appreciation to everyone. The allowance to mess up and know your still loved by your family, has helped me give people chances, and be forgiving in a world full of mess ups. My family and I have stayed close through many trials and tribulation.Whether it was the death of my father, my mother battling depression, losing jobs, or being bullied; we stuck together as a family. These life altering events shaped my longing for family, and my utmost admiration for my family. Circumstances can change, but your family will never change, my family shapes me into who I
