Attitude
I always try to keep a positive attitude to show how much I enjoy driving for MCPS. Every day I come to work with a smile on my face. I am constantly congratulating others on their successes. When others need encouragement, I try and motivate them to keep improving. I try to keep an even demeanor through both good times and bad. My constant energy helps our students, teachers, and co-workers keep their enthusiasm – both positive and negative.

Communication
One of my strengths is that I keep my attendant, B.R.S., T.C.M, and dispatcher managers informed if there are any issues or events during the work and sometimes even my personal life events. Therefore, risk management planning is the first step in ensuring that our work is done safely. A student aggression and violence action plan should be regularly monitored and reviewed to ensure it is effective and takes into account changes at the home, school and the bus. The school should have a safety consultative team consisting of management, health and safety representatives, safety advisors or officers and workers that involved in delivering transportation services to our student.

Professionalism
No matters where I go and what I do I always respect my profession in a professional manner. As a professional MCPS bus operator, I implement my high driving skills to protect our communities and all the people driving on the road every day. I always make use my both hands while driving, complete stop as indicate by law, smooth acceleration, brakes, turns, and follow the all other safety techniques to have the safest ride all the time. I follow the correct loading and unloading student procedure on the route all the time. Also, as a professional driver, I do follow a proper railroad crossing procedure. As always controlling students on the bus is a really challenging job to everyone, but I am really confident on this because they know me and my personality and how I respect them. So really don’t have to give them direction every day because they follow my directions, bus rules, and enter/exit in an orderly
