I got my first sketchbook in my seventh grade art class. That was the one class that I always enjoyed when I was in school. In my sketchbook, I had a lot of drawings to do like an apple, a pumpkin, a penguin and many other drawings. After I have done all of these drawing I realized that this was what I really enjoyed doing No matter what we were asked to draw, I enjoyed The fact that I was able to challenge myself to draw and it showed me a lot about shading and being very detailed-oriented. This helped me in realizing what I really loved about art: I am able expresses myself by not really saying any words and how I wanted to continue doing it in high school, and maybe minor in college. For my drawings, sketching, painting, sculpting, or even adding the finishing touches was what I always did during my seventh grade year to now and this is what I want to continue doing. I know there are way better artists out there that can draw much better than what I can, but just knowing that I created that one project is a great feeling. I am very grateful to my family that have always encouraged me to do better and to keep going. Even my art teacher told me that I should keep going with art since it is such a passion that I have. I have just realized that doing art is my other half that justs make me the person that I am. This allows me to use my imagination, creativity, and detail-oriented skills. I always loved the feeling when my dad always taught me how to draw and how I would always follow the steps he showed me. With all the steps my dad has always taught me he used to always say “make sure that you color in between the lines and never go outside the line.” and he would also say “when you draw make sure you draw lightly with your pencil so when you make mistakes you won’t see it when you erase.” Art to me isn’t just about drawing; it is passion to want to create something unique. It’s learning how to create new things, how to use the tools, and knowing that you are using your hands to create something
