A career in finance is something that has always fascinated me. The diverse and complex nature of business and finance is truly engaging. Financial professionals have so much influence on the global economy and its future. As my undergraduate career comes to a close, I have been considering my own future. I decided that pursuing a Master's degree in Finance at an exceptional institution will better prepare me for the financial industry. I am fortunate to have been exposed to various areas of finance and investment throughout my time in higher education. The challenging courses in management, finance, economics, and accounting have stressed the significance of the financial sector. I know that the MBA program at the University at Albany would allow me to acquire the necessary tools to be a successful participant in the modern world of Finance.
I am in my final year at the University at Albany, SUNY where I will receive a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance/Management. Earning a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance would further complement the extensive foundation of knowledge I built at the undergraduate level. Working for the University Auxiliary Service at Albany has allowed me to further understand the way business and finance work at a professional level. Dealing with financial reports, creating memos, entering data, and participating in meetings have benefited me greatly. I have been able to apply what I've learned in class to real-world applications which is invaluable. The opportunity to work in a dynamic environment has altered my perspective about the realities of the workplace.
