6. Think about an academic subject that inspires you. Describe how you have furthered this interest inside and/or outside of the classroom. My favorite academic subject would be Math. I consider math to be a great subject, for it allows me to configure many complications. Math allows me into insightful convoluted problems in life that will be quite problematic. Math was a breathtaking discovery for me when I became educated by my uncle about math. He would teach me how math is very enjoyable instead of it being boring as others may find it. It can actually be entertaining when used in everyday problems. I was a very intellectual student in elementary, loved working on math and puzzles because they would allow my intellect to search for the pieces or letters missing and I would be able to enter the correct answer. In math, I started slipping because I started losing focus and was losing myself, but then one day I visited my uncle and he wanted to solve some math problems with me like we used to. It would be harder math problems than before. I tried to solve the dilemmas, but failed so I quit. I was able to use strategies that allowed me to win. I now have become reminded of how I can use math to my advantage and how I can use math in difficult life situations for answers. My uncle pushed me to excel in math and when I needed to refuel he pushed me on and tried his best to teach me what he could. My thirst for knowledge cannot be quenched. I use that as a reminder of my determination to continue my journey towards learning more knowledge and growing in my math
