My idea of the good life involves using the knowledge and wisdom I acquire to improve the well-being of our planet and all sentient creatures living on it. My undergraduate experience at the University of Florida would prepare me to achieve this by making me a well-rounded individual, providing me the means to achieve my goals, and helping me to communicate my ideas.
While many see education as a means to an end, I value education most for its ability to shape me. I hope to use my experience at UF to deepen my perception and understanding of the world to improve my decision-making by learning from the mistakes of the past, and to enhance my opinions by learning about the views of others, especially when they contradict my own. Not only will my education at UF help me gain knowledge, but it will also train me in various ways of thinking, allowing me to better analyze life situations and make better decisions. Through education, I hope to become a more empathetic and wise individual, as I value being a good person over being a great one.

All the determination, resources, and time in the world would be useless without properly understanding how to use them.
